This is my fourth post. It is a small piece of classical song.

Almost all work was done by BIAB, and Sonar X3 was used for the final touch.

I hope you like it.

"The dialogue between flute and clarinet is threaded by arpeggio of harp, which is backed by strings. They are talking about good old memories."

https://soundcloud.com/hirokata1121/memories

Song title: Memories
Genre: Classical
Style: MICHEL1.STY (Michel 1 - Slow Pop Orchestral)
Melody: RGC Flute in The Venue (D-PRO)
Soloist: RGC Clarinet in The Venue (D-PRO)
Piano: Replaced by Harp Solo (D-PRO)
Drum: Muted

Very gentle, soothing, and tranquil.

The instrument sounds are not bad at all.

Nice.

Thank you for your comment. The style MICHEL1.STY perfectly fitted to classical songs like mine though it is rather hard to imagine it from its name (came from Michelle by the Beatles?) or description (slow pop orchestral). It was interesting.

Sorry. Obviously I was wrong.

Michell by the Beatles ==> Michel Legrand

Sonny,

Thank you for your comment. I like the tone of woodwind instruments especially of clarinet so much. (I love the masterpieces of Mozart and Brahms.) I think both RGC Clarinet/Flute in The Venue are very good!

Nice!

The flute sounds a lot like the GPO flute - one of my favorite sounds.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

David,

Thank you for your comment. I do not have Garritan Personal Orchestra, so I have checked the flute tone from Garritan Pocket Orchestra in Dimension Pro. Yes, they are very similar to each other though I noticed little difference. Anyway, both are excellent.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
