Hi everyone,

My new song:

Now that we are approaching the end of the year, and Christmas is coming. I thought I'd write an atmospheric song ;-)
Here in Europe winter isn't exactly coming anytime soon. It's way too warm for this time of year. So much for that old Christmas feeling....
In this one I've been experimenting with a couple of Kontakt instruments (Band in a Box has great support for Kontakt by the way).
It's a solo project, so is the video.

Hope you like it! And as always, any comments are welcome!

Rob

Style is P_PHIL_C.STY (Phil_Col Style)

Wondering,

I wonder where you'll sleep tonight
and if you're still thinking about our love
you see I watched your eyes as you came clean last night
where you truthful?
or did he never really leave....

oh my love, we're wandering far apart
ran away again, oh
and what if it's just me..
demanding, never giving in
never a battle lost, yet nothing gained
for real, for love, for me

deep down in the trenches of my soul
I find myself craving for you, needing you
I still claim your name, I still claim your love
but I find my words echoing in these empty city streets

over here the night is closing in
creeping over me, oh
I wonder if it's real
proclaiming love so easily
into his arms again, oh

oh my love you will be leaving
flying away from me, oh
and I feel this time it's real
demanding, never giving in
with all my battles won, feeling love that's gone

it's me again
time and again
hollow again
alone again
fear again

Hey, Rob, I loved that!

Sounds like something from an 80s concept album.

A big, BIG, sound with wonderful stereo and nice cryptic lyrics.

Works well with the video.

Got to be one of my favourites of yours.

ROG.

Great song, Rob! Great "setting" (atmosphere, instruments, vocals).

Those of us in Texas can relate! Temperature on Christmas Eve is supposed to be in the 70s (F)! We have had big snow and ice storms in prior years, so this is kinda different. But, being Texans, we're not really surprised.

For the n00bs in the audience, what are Kontakt instruments? Are those midi? Real instrument tracks?

Enjoyed your song!

Hi Rob

What a great listen! We both loved it.

There is a certain forbidden aura about it. Love the fx sounds ... really cool! And the video was great, too! Excellent all around! Thanks for a super listen!!!

Great production and very atmospheric! The usual high standard vocals set it off.

Yesterday some parts of Sydney hit 41c (106f) - much cooler today Christmas day looks to be 27c (80f). Been quite a hot December here so far.

Wow! This is a clinic in the heights that one can
reach with talent, BiaB and a home studio. Amazing.

Like ROG alluded to the sound is monster big.

You absolutely nailed the 80's big studio production
and as always it is extremely well supported by
the video.

Merry Christmas y'all!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
