Something Fascinating

©2015 Robert Randall Burke

You know
I know
There's something fascinating
Going on tonight
I know
You know
I've been procrastinating
Though I long to hold you tight.

Music and the moonlight
Puts my head in a twirl
Dancing with you in my arms
Won't you be my girl?

You know
I know
We've spent a lifetime waiting
For this night to come.

Music and the moonlight
Puts my head in a twirl
Dancing with you in my arms
Won't you be my girl?

You know
I know
There's something fascinating
Going on tonight
Going on tonight.

Hi Bob.

Wonderfully authentic period piece.

I've always been a fan of Fred and Ginger and this could have come straight out of one of their films.

Made my day.

Cheers, ROG.

Great photo! The dixieland ensemble sounds great. My
experiments with those RT's haven't begun to work nearly
as well as yours.

Grab a megaphone and you will have absolutely nailed the
vibe. laugh

A most fun over the cup o' joe listen!

As Jackson Browne said "Make room for my 45s, along beside your 78s, nothing survives but the way we live our lives". This feels like it was played on a 78. Wonderful tribute to the era!! You really captured it all (horns, vocals, LP sound FX). Very, very nice!! You've been on a roll!! Merry Xmas! Greg

Bob,

I love that 78 rpm crackle in the background... very creative! This is an excellent piece. This incredibly authentic sounding. BIAB sure is versatile in the hands of a master such as yourself!

Best thoughts to you and Penny for a wonderful Christmas.
Noel

ROG,
Thanks for the listen and the kind words. Wishing you a Happy Christmas!

J&B,
Thanks. We actually have a megaphone that I wanted to use, but we couldn't find it!

Sonny,
Thanks for the listen and the period appropriate comments!

Greg,
Thanks very much. I guess I've been watching too much Downton Abbey!

Noel,
Thanks for listening and the kind remarks. Hope you have a Merry Christmas Down Under!

Tom,
Thanks. Having so many styles to play with makes it a lot of fun.

Fj,
Brevity is the soul of wit. grin

Scott,

Thanks. My father played in a Dixieland band as a youngster, so I grew up hearing a lot of it.

Peter,
Thanks for listening.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy BIAB New Year!

Regards,

Bob

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
