Hi, friends ! You all probably know that I am and always have been a big fan of Brian Wilson´s surf music so I had to try and write one myself ! My only regret is that I lack professional equipment doing this but .....oh, what the heck, it was fun nonetheless !: http://app.box.com/s/ldeset3hqry4bzif0sk3q9glcn7iln8xhttp://soundcloud.com/dani-lindroos/lets-go-surfin-1 The style is: SURFSWP.STY and the instros are: Bass: 1844 Piano: 1549 Drums: Surfpopswing Guitar: 2427 el guit String: 2452 String quartet Strings: 51 synth strings 1 Recorded with mixcraft 7 and Stagg mic to my laptop Here are the lyrics: Let´s Go Surfin´(music and lyrics by Norman Wibe) Let´s go surfin´, let´s go surfin´ let´s go ridin´the waves let´s go surfin´, no more turfin´around, babe let´s go together so far away where the big surf hits the bay I´m gonna take you there my dear all the way, babe Now, let´s go where the weather´s fine and the beaches are so white there I´m gonna make you mine it´s allright, babe we´re gonna surf right till the end of day no matter darlin´, come what may in the sun, that´s where we´re gonna stay, babe, babe So, little darlin´, take my hand let´s go jumpin´on the sea it´s gonna be so cool as it only can be, little darlin´, little darlin´ Now, let´s go where the weather´s fine and where the beaches are so white there I´m gonna make you mine it´s allright, babe we´re gonna surf right till the end of day no matter darlin´, come what may in the sun, that´s where we´re gonna stay, babe, babe So, little darlin´, take my hand let´s go jumpin´on the sea it´s gonna be so cool as it only can be, little darlin´, little darlin´, little darlin´ mine ! WOW Dani! This is awesome! You're probably the one guy in the forum who could pull off the Beach Boys style harmonies! But even before the singing started I was impressed that your instrumentation sounded very Brian Wilson-esque!
You need to do more of this! You picked a very prolific song writer to mimic, so now your take-offs have to be equally prolific!

Hi Dani. I think you really captured the early Beach Boys feel here. Great effort on the harmonies. I think you actually pulled it off. Great work. Rob

Beach Boys reference is adequate! Really well done, Dani! Love it! Nice and laid back, just like sitting at the beach, having a cold drink and watching the surfers having fun! Nice song!

Hello, Dani
What a cool chorus. I also like the Beach Boys from my childhood. Surfer Girl, I Get Around, She Knows Me Too Well, Don’t Worry Baby, California Girls, When I Grow up to Be a Man, etc. And now your song Let’s Go Surfin’. A Great Tribute to Brian Wilson. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best Regards.

Yes, you captured that Surf Style, no doubt about that
Loved the falsetto harmonies, absolutely perfect!
Great effort for sure.

Hi Dani,
Wow! That was incredibly creative.
You captured the vocal harmony, chord progressions and groove of the classic Beach Boys sound. Is there a genre that you can't do? You really seem to be putting BIAB through its paces lately and creating some very diverse music. It's fantastic!
All the best, Noel

Hi Dani,
an absolute hit! I had an idea what to hear when I read the title but you topped it. Mr. Harmony himself. Very enjoyable listens.

Dani Wilson!
The lost Wilson Brother!
This is SO well done!
I have just finished reading "Catch a Wave: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson" after seeing the movie "Love & Mercy". As I read, I would listen to whatever song they were talking about at the time, so I have heard a LOT of Beach Boys music recently... This fit right in... You have captured it perfectly. Nice mix, too! Great harmonies.
Your best ever! Surf's UP!!!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
