This song has been shelved for about 1 and 1/2 years . . .

Finally did a total rewrite and sent singer home with a few ideas . . .

This is the singer's first attempt to record his vocals by himself and send files by dropbox to me rather that travel up here to record . . . I think Rob did a great job for a first time!

2 styles in this song:
1)TexasRK.sty Texas Rock Even
2)PWPOWER.STY Praise&WorshipGuit&Piano [120RS]

I added 1535 piano and 395 solo metal

Here is link to song: [Link no longer valid]

you are doing some really cool stuff here! I really like your friends' s vocals... and did you say that your brother is playing the guitar parts? They are very well done!

And you use some interesting dynamics techniques in all the pieces I've heard so far.

Most of all I appreciate the ministry aspect.

The play on words here is very clever... speaking only for myself, I've always had a certain reluctance to sell scriptural concepts based on any form of human cleverness. Truth stands on its own merit and it doesn't need any help. Doing so can suggest that what you're really selling is your cleverness. I say that not as a direct criticism, but rather as a way of pointing out how the intended audience might see such presentations.

Anyway, EVERYTHING I've heard from you so far has been outstanding! You have a lot of talent, that's for sure!

Thanks Pat smile

Sadly, no my brother Eric is not playing on this - I have only been able to get him to play for me 2 times in last year and a half frown

This is Darin Favorite from Band in a Box . . .

I wrote this song 3 years ago . . .

As I was writing it, I realized when you sang Yeshua, it would sound like "Yes you are" to people that had never heard the Jewish name of Jesus before . . .

It was at that moment that I realized that the song needed to have "Yeshua" and Yes you are" be correct in every line - interchangeable in every line.

It is a teaching tool and also a proclamation - many of the names that He is called in the text - besides Yeshua - besides salvation . . .

Yes, he is all of these things! :-)

Thanks so much for your well thought out and gracious posts . . . they are very encouraging!

Blessings to you!

Great song concept. There is a short harmony part that I think was outstanding and I wish it was used in other parts of the song more. I really liked the effects on the vocals. You did a great job on this. I do think the guitar solo was a bit too busy for the vibe of the song but overall I really enjoyed it.

spot on via our monitors.

thanks Jeff!

Rob wants to harmony everything so I am sure I am going to pay for that comment! HAHAHAHAH

The lead was the singer's choice . . . We didn't have many to choose from . . . .eventually there will be a live lead . . . I love band in a box but rock leads are hard to come by in this program . . .

They should hire Michael Schenker to do about 20 different styles . . . if they did, I would produce all 3 albums with just his leads! :-P

Blessings!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
