Hello everybody,

This is my very newest jazz vocal song.
In the near future I would like to re-arrange this song for a human vocalist.
But now I introduce the vocaloid version first.

Title: kiss…
Vocal: 初音ミク(Miku Hatsune), Vocaloid
Accompanied with jazz band and trumpet.

Summary of lyrics:

Instead of tears
Instead of saying goodbye
Please kiss me tenderly
Today I understand all
Sure enough, I have loved you
But it’s over
It’s over now
This is our last kiss
.............

This is just AWESOME ! Some of the best vocaloid song I have heard till now....

Can I ask what melodist u used, if u used melodist in BiaB?

I'll PM u another question, since it seems like u r a front runner here in the use of Vocaloid.......

Hi Shigeki Adachi,

This is really beautiful. Your composition is outstanding, the backing is superbly mixed and your control of Miku is inspirational.

If you are ever in need of someone to write some English lyrics to fit this outstanding melody, let me know, I'll give it my best shot!

Wonderful music!

All the best,
Noel

Greetings Shigeki Adachi,

many of us here in the forum are self-taught musicians, but you are clearly a trained professional with astute musical sensibilities! Each of your presentations so far has been beautifully arranged with exceptional melodies and chord structure!

All of your choices add value to the composition, there is nothing accidental or in need of tweaking!

If you have already introduced yourself, I missed it... I'd like to know a little about your musical background! It is quite evident that you know your way around a song!

The ability to write a Jazz song using a vocaloid and have it sound this good is quite an accomplishment!

I love this song, love it...The structure, and arrangement is perfect, and elicits emotion. My kind of song. I do think the lyric line that you show in the summary could be tweaked a bit to be a more compatible and deserving partner of the melody and great chords. But that's just my personal opinion. This is the bones of a great song and I can't wait to hear a real singer perform it.

Very beautiful music!! You are a great composer! The "band" feels so natural. Trumpet works beautifully. Nice mix and production. Everything works. I'd love to hear this sung by a really soulful singer. Great stuff! Take care. Greg

Hello, Leo, Noel, Pat, Guenter, Charlie, floyed, Carolyne, Janice & Bud, Greg and Rob

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I always much appreciate your very very kind words.

Noel,
“If you are ever in need of someone to write some English lyrics to fit this outstanding melody, let me know, I'll give it my best shot!”
This means that you will make English Lyrics version of “kiss…” for me?
Your offer is very happy and wonderful for me.
Much appreciated. I hope very much you will try it.
I put PDF music sheets and BIAB song file on the following link.
Please download them.

Pat,
When I was young, I passed the entrance examination for university in Tokyo.
So, I enrolled in the department of economics, but also I wanted to study music, so I had been through the Yamaha Music School at night. (Of course my parents did not know that.)
At that time Yamaha had been holding music contests continuously.
As no computers and no DAW applications did not exist in the world, the company needed many singers, players and arrangers in order to make the Demo tapes of large quantities of posted works from the whole country.
In order to cut the recording costs, the company used the Yamaha students of each class of vocal, player, composer and arranger instead of professional musicians.
I could get the skill of arrangement learning through the experience. Old stories.

Thank you very much again to all and I will post my music again.

Best Regards.

Hi Shigeki Adachi,

I've downloaded the files. What an amazing chord progression! This is one of the most sophisticated chord progressions in a minor key that I've ever seen. You sure know your music!

I read about your Yamaha Music School training. I used to be involved with that too! It's a great system. I learnt such a lot about music during those days. I'd love to have a StageA Electone!

Now that I have your files, I just need to spend some time listening over and over and over and see what word come to my minds. As soon as I get something, I'll let you know and see what you think smile

Back in touch soon,
Noel

I think, since u r one of the veteran her, should suggest to PG Music to make a "introduce ur self" forum or tread here. I think that would be very useful and interesting for the members....

Hello, Leo

I am so sorry, Leo.
Please forgive me.
I have never used melodist.
Writing songs gives me a lot of fun.
But melodist will take away the fun from me.
Searching notes with piano is my greatest pleasure.

Best Regards.

Hello, Noel

Thank you again for your offer.
By the way, as you know Yamaha music school and Electone very well.
Possibly, have you ever been staying in Japan?

I look forward to your lyrics very much.

Best Regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
