Hi Dan,

Congratulations on your #1 achievement!

Your song is fantastic! I really love the sound you've created. None can doubt that the song is made and mixed with expertise. As I sit here listening to your singing, the only word that comes to mind is 'outstanding'.

I really enjoyed this.

Hi Dan!
This was immediately an attention-grabbing song to me! It's catchy and I like the guitar RT you used in conjunction with the driving drums!

I've reached an age where my hearing has a harder time separating sounds than in the past, so I have difficulty catching the words to a lot of songs... one thing that helps people like me is when the artist posts the lyrics to his/her song. Especially when it's a song with a message worth conveying, it seems a shame to miss an opportunity to make the message readable.

Your voice is very confident and capable.. didn't hear a bad note anywhere! You must be really tickled to have software that lets you create backing tracks for such a good voice to sing along with!

I don't know if this is the first song you've posted or not, but its the first one I've seen, so I'll take this opportunity to welcome you to the forum! I like what I hear so far! I think you'll fit right in!

Best way to warm up to the people here is to listen and comment on other people's songs... that's part of what makes it a community here!

The Glory is a good hook!

You singing reminds me of Paul Wilbur in his song Adonai: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9P5q_xo2a0

I would like to see the production of your bass and drums match the fullness of your voice and vocals

Nice song!

Nice song, I would polish the drums a little bring up the Kick, put some more punch in the snare. But, VOCALS WOW, guitar also WOW all around very nice.

I like this song. Good news like that is always a welcome relief.

A couple of observations..... I agree on the bass and the drums.... rock thrives on a solid bass and kicking drums. Something to bring out the thump of the bass and kick and the crack of the snare......

The vocal is just a bit hot for the genre. I like to hear a vocal but it could sit a bit further down in the mix...... words would be good so folks could read the lyrics.

Pascal,

I have discovered that the soloist feature will not necessarily give you the leads that you want for a particular song...but if you record them to a good multi-track DAW (I use Cubase) then you can break them up into separate measures and fashion your own leads from the segments...essentially you break them down into puzzle pieces and fit them back together in the sequence you want them in...sometimes you get a pretty cool lead...Band in a Box played it but you built it.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
