This is a new song titled "Little Grey Cells (Hercule Poirot)".

https://soundcloud.com/hirokata1121/little-grey-cells-hercule-poirot

As the title shows, this song has unique atmosphere. The title was given by my wife who likes UK's TV drama series "Agatha Christie's Poirot" very much. As soon as she finished listening to this song, she thought of it.

It is a small piece of 2+ minutes duration, so please listen to it at ease.

I hope you like it.

Hi Hiroshi,

very nice and relaxing. It really could be the theme song of a movie.
Enjoyable listen.

I love it! And I can really imagine this as the theme to a BBC TV show! The simplicity of your theme coupled with the interplay of the instruments is so INTERESTING and beguiling... you have a real knack for finding hooky melodies! That's a gift not many of us have!

Lovely piece - I can hear echoes of the Poirot theme - nicely done.

Rob and Anne-Marie,

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like my new song.

I am also happy you like the clarinet tones. The clarinet is one of my most favorite instruments, so I often use it for my music. In many cases, it works very well.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like it.

Yes, I think my song has similar atmosphere to the Poirot theme; sort of mysterious. Both use the clarinet for the melody. I believe it is why my wife came up with the title at once.

Great melody! I hope you are listing with some of the sites like Audiosocket or Crucial Music. I suspect
there are a lot of film companies that would love your compositions.

We much enjoyed it!

J&B,

Thank you very much for your kind comment. I am happy you like my melody so much again.

I have never thought about seeking for the chance to license my songs, but maybe I could try it though I know it would be a big challenge for me and there would be almost no chance of success. Thank you for letting me know Audiosocket and Crucial Music. I will study them.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
