Alyn, first I hope that you are feeling better.
Second as been previously said you are a master at explaining your life in song. Bad or good experiences come to life in your songs. I really like your humor/humour.
This song made me LOL! The large needle, the guy in the next bed, the guy who sleeps all day and screams all night, well been there and either done that or experienced it!
Two thumbs up for this hilarious song.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi Alyn.
Good to have you back!
You've been greatly missed - the forum needs you to make us laugh at ourselves.
"here come the visitors all with a bunch of grapes which they eat cos they can't think of a thing to say"
Absolutely. I've done the visiting and been in just that position.
Hope you stay well and keep posting.
Cheers, ROG. Haha, haven't we all eaten the grapes and struggled to say something apart from the cat being a pain in the butt, as usual. When a student almost all wards had chess sets and when we were on ward-rounds a certain few *cough* used to move the pieces around. I got caught once and was "told off" by the consultant who admitted doing the same when he was a student. Good fun days, shame about the current mess, as you know. I will try to turn my music computer on a bit more Hope you have the heat up your way. Alyn

Alyn!!!!! It's really, really excellent to see you back in the forum I've missed your songwriting wit and humour a lot. No-one around here creates music like you do. I loved the journey of this song. And what a great hook! I don't know of any other song that has a hospital bed for a title. You have a amazing ability to caricature life in such an astounding way that it's simultaneously funny and poignant. That's quite a feat of accomplishment. Sending lots of good thoughts your way! Noel Noel, THANK YOU!! I learnt a lot from this funny man Rob Buckman as he was a medical student at my hospital. I wouldn't call my self a friend, I was a good acquaintance, but I certainly was a hanger-on absorbing his incredible unending medical sketchs, jokes and pranks. One I remember was I did a filling for an actor friend of his, when I was a student, and he quickly put on white pancake makeup and chewed foaming blood capsules before leaving my room falling about the place moaning etc. He almost cleared a full waiting room . BOY did I get in trouble! HAHAHA!! I learnt later it was his idea RIP Rob. Thanks for those thoughts, you made me laugh at that memory THANKS!! Alyn

As Bob said "...Finding humor in a hospital stay is fantastic."
And as floyd said "No one documents their life in song better than you do. And it is always a joy to go along for the ride..."
Win, lose or draw you are willing to write about it and in a way that never fails to entertain. Never over-wrought or maudlin yet beneath the humor there always seems to be a lot of depth to the lyrics.
Glad to see you back, enjoyed the tune, and trust you are on the mend.
J&B Thank you for a lovely review If only the stays in hospital were as much fun at the time, but then you wouldn't need to be a patient in hospital! I am attempting to write a song, or two, about the funny times in practice as a Dentist.....yes the times when even the patient laughed, well maybe later LOL! Even in your occupation, Bud, I bet there were times in a serious consultation that you wanted to inappropriately laugh with the patient, not at, never laugh at. Yeh slowly improving All the best Alyn

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
