I used Prayer.STY style.
4 Instances of Kontak 5

All instances channels are set to Omni,
but channels are separated when rendered.

Little bit of sidetrack...no pun intended.
When using NI goodies with keyboards make sure
the piano display is using the correct band for the notes.

The instruments are small but from the 64bit library's.

Departure -- Experiment.

Created using the style mentioned within BIAB.
rendered to wav file for each track.
Then dragged the completed tracks into RealBand.

This was a great and fun learning effort on my part.
Very happy with the PG Music tools with the NI sounds.

I also have a lot of fun experimenting with PGMusic suite of tools and get a little rush when something clicks.

I made one loop that works to perfection on every song I've tried. But I'm proud of that loop and it's ended up in a couple of songs, both quite different from the other.

We have a lot of directions to go with BIAB using RealTracks, midi, loops and User Tracks.

Kontact 5 is giving you great sounds.

Enjoyed hearing your work.

Frank,

That is really cool. I was very impressed with how good the female aahs are... the male ahhs aren't bad either, but they hold that one note too long to be "real" - the little bit of moment later in the piece made them work better (and sound good).

Always enjoy your work. You should post more often. You have much to offer that many might miss because they don't visit the other forums...

As mentioned this was an experiment. Mainly how to pick and load from
the K libraries.

Charlie,

Yes on the success side of our work. What makes this music trip
enjoyable "sometimes".

Floyd,

Real pleasure to get nice comments from you.
Admire your work.
Yes on the sound quality, but "Ya" pay for it.
Had a mentor with the $$$$ my wife of 51 years.
And other assistance.

Tommy,

Yes the sounds are pretty nifty.
My "earring" experience is thru movies.
To marry right sounds takes extra efforts, but worth it.

Guenter

Appreciate the posting comments.
My time on the system is limited.

Gregg,

Intention of the sound were just that.
Possible soundtrack(training) or maybe inside games.

Thanks to you all for the nice comments.

FWIW "Departure" was down a path bit more on the dark side
like some movies and games.

Frank,

I really enjoy the new-agey stuff you do! As I listened to this my mind took off in a bunch of directions, adding other instruments along the way and finishing it off with vocals sung by Loreena McKennitt...

RnAM,

Appreciate your coments.

Janice & Bud,

Appreciate your generous compliments.
Was fun to put the experiment to work
with the NI goodies.

Pat,

Loreena McKennitt... I just like the fit in the arrangement.
Do not know this lady.
Your nice compliments and analysis are appreciated.

Thank you all for giving me support.

FWIW There is a new version bit different that is about 1/2 completed.
Complete the mixes, and also a Video to match the genre.

I enjoyed it very much. You have gotten me interested in learning more about how you are using BIAB to compose in this style.

I'll be looking into it.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
