Dani, This is another showcase of your understanding of the beach boys vibe. A great use of modulation. Fantastic falsetto harmonies. Beautiful job. Tom

Hi, Greg !:))

Thank you so much for your
most kind words making me
humble indeed !:))

Brian Wilson is still going
strong after what I´ve heard
and he is a genius and the
founder of the surf type music
I´ve always been weak for !:))

Hi, Rob and Anne-Marie !

How nice of you to
bestowe such kind words
on my performance !

I´ve used to falsetto-
singing as I´ve done it
all my life and in fact it
is many times de facto easier
than singing with a breast
voice that in my case normally
is kinda low !

A nicely constructed song.
The harmonies work a treat.
Some of the melodic phrases are def. Pet Sounds coolness.
I was distracted though by "roon".
At 1st I thought it was a typo but it was repeated...
maybe it's rune or possibly lion but neither fit the context.
I'm not sure what it should be so my mind has been distracted (I must be ADH).

Cheers

Dani,
Your best surfin song yet! Pretty melody and lyrics. You have an amazing vocal range probably the widest here with such warm smooth tones throughout.

Hi, Ray !:))

Thank you for your most kind
words and constructive chritic !
Just for the record: according to
Encyclopaedia Britannica roon is
the equivalent of the Scottish word
for round and that should go quite well
in this context !:))

Hi Dani!

This is awesome! It's definitely my new favorite among your Beach Boys themed songs!

The vocals are tight, the lyrics are very similar to the kinds of lyrics in Brian Wilson's early songs, and the chord pattern was also very interesting and appropriate to the style! As mentioned by others, the melody is also original and good for the genre, and I think the crowning glory is your choice of harmonic notes.

I have a TCHelicon vocal harmonizer for live gigs, and it's overwhelming how many different kinds of harmonies can be used in a song. This harmony isn't the standard 3rd up that you tend to hear on 75% of songs! As a barber shop guy, I'm sure you are far more aware of harmonic possibilities than most of us, and your Beach Boys series is a good showcase for that knowledge. (This song especially)

GREAT JOB!

Dani,
Very nice song. The harmonies are great. Nice idea to modulate up. Very period.

Hi, Pat !:))

I am feeling humble by your
more than kind comments and
want to thank you for them
so very much. I do not think I
am the one on the forum that
has the widest range but I did
discover my falsetto already
at young age and have been
practizing singing in many voices
from way back in school times.

Thank you Pat for your most
kind words !

Cheers
Dani

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
