With a little advice from Rob ( RnAM) I started to use the Bar settings function in BIAB and so this was a early attempt with the trumpet. Took me 2 days to write the music 1 day to finish the lyrics, but 4 days to do the bar settings, it just does not come easy for me, Still I will chip away, Rome ,,,,,,,,,etc

I have seen you standing on your balcony
Gazing with a longing at the sea
Is it for a love that never came
Or one that you have lost just like me
So come on down and test the waters
Come on down and dance with me
Come on down and let your hair hang loose ye
Come on down please dance with me
Life’s to short to live on memories
And too long to hold on to regrets
So Let Go oh let go

Hear the music coming from the sidewalk
Feel the pulsing rhythm of the band
Come on down and let your hair hang loose
Let’s dance the night away on the sand
Life’s too short to live on memories
And just too long to hold on to regrets
So Let Go Oh let go
Don’t wait for a love that will never come
Remember there is always me
So come on down and test the waters
Come on down and dance with me
Come on down and let your hair hang loose ye
Come on down please dance with me
Life’s too short to live on memories
And just too long to hold on to regrets
So Let Go Oh let go

Nice use of RTs especially the trumpet.
Enjoyable listen.

I like the story you tell and the picture you paint, very vivid. I like the tempo and the overall musical vibe you've created.

The vocal and trumpet sit very well in the mix. (I love what you've done with the trumpet). And the rhythm of the acoustic guitar is spot on.

much enjoyed!

Very nice Paddy!! The vibe really works well with the concept of the song. Sentiment reminds me of The Last Worthless Evening. Nice job!! Take care. Greg

Well, at the risk of being redundant :), we also like the work with
the trumpet.

And like Gruve mentioned the lyric is vivid in it's rich imagery.

Sounds like all the effort paid off.

Enjoyed it!

Hi there Paddy,

Very nice song, and as Guenter said "a toe tapper"
good to see your finding your way with the real tracks.
Indeed, that trumpet works great here!

A little tip to get quickly into the bar settings dialog from any bar: press the F5 key on your keyboard.

Hi Paddy,

It's great to read that you've been playing around with BIAB's capabilities. It's such an amazing program and unleashes sleeping potential in all us songwriters!

I enjoyed my listen of "Come On Down". I'd love to be able to write songs as quickly as you: 1 day for lyrics, 2 days for music... that's very impressive. It takes me around a month to get a song complete. This consists of around 1 - 2 weeks for lyrics, melody and chord progression, and about another 2 weeks for mixing.

Thanks for posting. I look forward to your next adventure!

All the best,
Noel

It's all been said, i.e. great mix, vocals and use of RTs. I will add that I liked the lyrics and your rhythm section also.

Two thumbs up.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Paddy, I really like this. Solid song construction--and your vocals are spot on. Good use of imagery and the choice of instruments was right.

Great job.
