This has a nice kind of feel to it..... mellow country rock. I enjoyed hearing this tune.

Wow, Tommy. I love everything about this one! Some sweet pickin' too. You keep hitting them out of the park, they're gonna have to move the fences back! grin

Kenny

yeah, Kenny and I are thinkin' along the same lines... what the heck is in the water there in Florida? All you Florida forum members consistently whup @$$ with your songs!!

but seriously, I know you've invested a lot of time in your music, from playing live for most of your life, to writing songs in BIAB now. All that experience shows!
Pat, I'll tell you what's in the water down here. Toxic Blue-Green Algae. We are in the midst of an environmental crisis. Thanks for the nice words. Tom

This is such a good listen.

And when you really focus on them it's easier to see what a big component they are of your productions. This song is a great example of them.

So on to the vocals. Wow...they grab you with the first line and as mentioned it is a heckuva line (of many good ones). And there's so fine harmony also.

The way you've been incorporating those loops with RT's is something I want to be able to do when I (Bud) grow up.

Yup, gotta a little Eagles thing going here like Greg mentioned. There is so much to like here but as we've said before when the total package is this strong we have difficulty in parsing out all the individual components that make it work. It's more fun to just listen again.

Kudos!

Thanks for the kudos. Tom

Great write!
Thanks Lawrence. I have some phasey type effects on the vocals. I dialed them back a bit but maybe not enough. Tom

Tom,

As others have said you are producing commercially viable tracks.
There must have been a moment when even you said "Wow that's good, did I do that??" laugh

Wonderful

Tom,

My sincere apologies... this one completely slipped past me. It looks like it was first posted when I was out of action for a bit. I'm really glad that Marc found it and pulled it back on top of the forum.

I really like your opening line, "Guess I had to lose you to make the fire burn again". It says such a lot in so few words.

As with all the songs you write and post, this is first class. It could very easily be on the radio. Your instrumental and vocal performances are stellar. I really liked the twists and turns of your solo guitar that's threaded throughout. It's a perfect match!

Enjoyed it a few times smile

All the best,
Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
