I am asking for a simple solution to a problem that's been driving me nuts ever since I joined the Forum: Not being able to find the tune on the page you post it. Frequently, the title/link is plain text secreted inside other descriptive text like this: My Song. And then more text. It would help greatly if the song title (link) were set apart and made obvious like this:
..................................My Song
This is very easy to do using the controls at the top of the text box. Of course, plenty of members do this already. The more that do, the more I and other members similarly encumbered will be able to listen. And, you can be sure it will be appreciated.
Some users already do this, but for other users who just post their song in a link, here's how, (1) just select all the text of the hyper link (or better still just the song name), and then (2)use the Adjust Font Size button. (3) Optionally select again and use the Bold button.
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones
Indicate which tracks were recorded by you, and which tracks were generated by Band-in-a-Box or RealBand. please provide information as to which styles or RealTracks were used. (tip: In Band-in-a-Box, the Song Memo contains the names of the RealTracks used, and you can copy/paste from that.)
I often discover a new RT in someone's song in this way.
I'm sorry you didn't find the link to my last post. But it's on top of the page and it's bold and blue and there is a free line under it. Here it is again in bigger print:
Ich schätze, was du getan hast. Was Sie sagen, ist wahr.
Thanks for the reminder about the RealTracks. I plead guilty to not being among the majority that meticulously lists all the details about their BIAB assistance. With the exception of a rare RT solo that I slice-and-dice into the shape that I like, I use only RealDrums and list myself as "other instruments."
But your point is well taken and, in future, I'll include specific citations by number and RT artist. I should add that the RealDrums could be the greatest percussion event since possibly the Big Bang. You can edit these too and extract all sorts of fills, hits, etc. that would take forever using, say, EZ Drummer, which is undeniably a great program - but not cheap when you include the separate "jazz package."
Still, you can't beat PG's real drummers, especially (in jazz) the Canadian drummers Terry Clarke and Craig Scott. Terry is unsurpassed by any drummer I've ever heard. And he doesn't hold back like some other RT artists who are more concerned with keeping their best licks a secret. I won't name names.
Neil Swainson, the Canadian bassist, and pianist Mile Black, like Terry, are absolutely world class and give everything they've got. I never liked the idea of citing these tremendous musicians as mere numbers. Now I'll include both name and number.
My response wasn't aimed at you mate, or the vast majority of posters. Just a gentle reminder for the few.
I listen to all tracks but only comment on the ones that "blew my socks off". I always remove my socks first before I listen to your playing by the way I learn from every song posted.
The variety of music styles on here is amazing and speaks reams for the inventiveness and vision of the Gannons and BIAB. Without that programme I wouldn't be gibson, with gibsonology, I would just be little ole me strumming on my piano or guitar and having to do covers when I used to play live
I've made it my habit to at least make the word that serves as the link displayed in bright red, and more often than not in high caps to boot. Hopefully that's been distinctive enough, but if not, just be blunt and tell me off for it

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
