1. preamble.
-----------------
as your prolly aware ive been a supporter of
pg products for a long time.
as just one of many powertraks users and also on other forums.
let me make some suggestions.
2. pricing.
-----------
i was hopeing by xmas to add realband n biab to the arsenal of tools.
ive only been a ptw user to this point.
but frankly what has put me off is pricing.
altho' i love the product concepts.
mebe some can afford the various paks..
but lots cant.
we are also now seniors just retired.
i sincerely feel you should reconsider your pricing with respect.
mebe a seniors discount ?? ..lol.
cos its makeing many people think twice.
for example many people ive recommended look at the biab/rb combo.
but the pricing is putting them off frankly.
powertraks , no argument ...extremely fair.
just suggesting that you would get a much bigger user base for rband n biab
if you made the pricing more affordeable.
cos many of us have other financial preassures.
n family issues.
3. who are the real traks musicians.??
---------------------------------------------------------
as a result of my recommending folks useing other daw products that they
look at rband n biab , they often ask me who are the real session players used ??
i have no answer frankly. and often feel daft cos i have no answer.
i know terry clark was one contributor but thats all.
i feel this is a big selling point. cos buyers want to know this.
so a suggestion...
on the home page put the names of the session musicians that contributed to the real
traks. i feel this would sell far more units for you.
4. useing ones custom drum traks.
------------------------------------------
as your aware custom drum traks are a problem for lots of folks.
i dont frankly think the text approach is the right one.
too complex imho.
a far better alternative i feel is to expand useage of the bars cell window.
(thats always been in powertraks and now rb.)
ie..right click over a cell in bars window to insert a drum sample
from a sample library i would suggest would go over well.
each cell would = a beat.
so if 150 bpm...150 cels.
(could also be used for film foley fx..eg door creaks /whatever..)
a good example might be i build a real drums trak useing auto accompany.
then right clik over cells in the bars window on say a china cym trak
ive named n insert a china sample from a lib of drum samples.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
as always wishing you only the best.
god bless.
