Very cool Pat!! Video is great and music is the perfect match. Love the last part (panning back from the raft to show the waterfall). I've had some issues on vacations but nothing compared to that guy. Thanks for sharing! Take care. Greg

Thanks Dave.. knowing you are an excellent guitar player, I especially appreciate your kind words about my little 20 second guitar ditty.
And yeah, there's a part of me that would like to flesh this out into a real song... but another part of me thinks I already got all the juice out of that lemon, so that's probably the end of that project!

Thanks for listening/watching and taking time to comment... it makes this place a community!

It is great for developing themed idea soundtracks and just brainstorming for ideas.

The Genres window is midi based but you can also create your own RealTracks sgu file and load it and have Soundtrack trim the song to exactly fit into your video.

It may give you a bit of inspiration on some of your future projects as well as save time getting the correct length for your video.

It's also just fun to play around with.

Thanks for pointing that out, Charlie... I may have once known that, but the older I get, the more I need to relearn things I once knew. I'll definitely be playing with this! Thanks again!

Aw shucks, Rog.. I know it ain't all that.... but you are very kind to say such encouraging things. I do appreciate it.

In retrospect, it does seem kind of overkill to create 14 different sets to get one 20 second video.... but what the heck.. I'm retired. Time is what I have. Apparently when it comes to finishing projects time is better than talent. ;-)

The music works perfectly. Nice guitar!

Fun. Enjoyable. Impressive. (LOL ending)

Interestingly, your first sentence is also true of real vacations. We wait all year for them, then they're gone in a heartbeat.. and all we have to remember them by are the short snippets of remembered events.

Thats what I was shooting for with the song.. something as frenzied as all life's responsibility... that hard-to-pin-down force that steals our moments and rushes us too quickly through the best of times... Then stalls when the good times turn into a bad vacation.

Thanks for the kind words. You are a good person to encourage so many of us here on the forum. I appreciate it!

Very well done my friend.

Reminded me of the cartoons I watched as a kid, where the poor coyote couldn't seem to get a break but in the end yes...finally..... uhhhh, wait.... well no actually, it doesn't look like it ends well at all for the poor guy after all....

Cool guitar also!

That was seriously funny.

sad to say, my brain finds it easy to imagine dark scenarios.

As far as creating the visuals, film makers use the storyboard concept to rough out a scene before they try to create it in a shot. Saves a lot of time when creating the set, because I can create exactly what I've already roughed out in the storyboard. Otherwise, its too easy to fumble around hoping an idea materializes out of chaos.

thanks for the kind words, especially the reference to humor. I always HOPE people will be amused, but unless they say so I have no way of knowing. It isn't like I can sit quietly in the theater to gauge the reaction of a live audience watching the film.

Thanks for taking time to watch, listen & comment Greg! I always enjoy reading what you have to say... you have an interesting perspective and way of articulating your thoughts.

Regarding the waterfall, I was pleased the way the surprise ending worked out. Thanks for weighing in!

LOL! This is really funny!
The video was over before we knew it, so we watched it again a couple of times.
You're the master with Muvizu, definitely!

Yes, that animation stuff sure is addictive. In about 10 minutes we'll be releasing 'Closing in' our latest one, stuffed with reallusion animations.
Muvizu has a slightly steeper learning curve we think, but in time we'll use it for one of our songs.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
