PS -+ 1 to Floyds comment about there not being an acoustic RT that works for slow tunes like these. Jolly good job Floyd is handy with those strings!!

Floyd (and David, and Janice),

All I can say is WOW, this is good! You captured the pain, and emotions that go in this write so well. The arrangement is perfect for it (as I would expect from Floyd). I didn't hear the original submission of this song, so I don't know what to compare it to, but this is just supurb.

Another hit!

They say that great sculptors can see the art within the original block of stone. This song was meant to be country, and to present serious reflection. I think the final result is awesome. The write, arrangement, and vocal (maybe my favorite FJ ever) really deliver. My hat is off to both of you for a great collab!! Take care. Greg

Thanks for that nice review, Greg...

Your points about Country Radio are spot on and my own analysis of the genre confirms that it is a niche area albeit for a mass and lucrative market. It's not a genre I enjoy so I won't be attempting to go there. But as you say it's good to know what it is as part of ongoing craftsmanship.

Matcham - thanks again for stopping by...

Hey y'all

Listening to how the song progressed through the versions was fascinating. As enjoyable as they all were we think it really landed in a wonderful place with the more "country" twist and the final lyric. We completely agree with Tom that this might be one of your best vocals. The phrasing, nuances, timbre, etc., of your voice are off the chart for interpreting the arrangement.
Janice is proud to have made a small addition to the fine production.

Wonderful collab you two and REALLY a great listen. And the acoustic - yeah man!

floyd and David,

Like a number of people before me, I have also listened to each new version of this song that has entered the forum. This particular creation is the one that appeals to me most. It's a very tight write and is arranged and mixed with flair. It really is excellent.

floyd, I agree with those who have drawn attention to your performance. Your vocals shine on this!

All the best,
Noel
