Hello everyone,

Our new song:

It's our most recent collab with Paddy Gobel.
I was experimenting with the electro flute RT and one of the 12/8 styles.
When I finished the arrangement and the vocal melody, I didn't have enough inspiration for writing lyrics that would do this song right.
And that's where Paddy came in (as y'all know he's the right man for writing lyrics that will enhance any song laugh ).

Hope you all like it, comments are encouraged!

Rob

Lyrics:

There's rain upon my face
feels like angels crying
as I stumble with my lonely heart

And this wind that stirs the trees
ghosts and memories
that only now have some meaning

Where did our time go
does it matter to me
if it's too late to change the dance
brown eyes, sad eyes how they lost their shine
when the world was ours and those eyes looked into mine

If regrets could turn back time
won't hold onto mine
and try to break these chains of silence
and this wind that stirs the trees
ghosts and memories
that only now have some meaning

Chorus

where did our days go...

Rob, Anne-Marie and Paddy,

This is a great listen! I love the use of the minor mode... very tasteful music. Rob's singing and production, arrangement and mix are superb; Anne-Marie's background vocals are top notch; Paddy's lyrics are very emotive, well crafted and and well set to the music.

Excellent job!

Regards,
Noel

Very enjoyable!
A beautiful opening image sets the tone in the video which held my interest throughout. Your use of the electro flute fits the song`s mood perfectly. Vocals and production are top notch as usual.

Top notch song & production - nice video everything came together brilliantly.
Was listening when my wife walked in and asked if it was the Moody Blues.
Flutes sounded just right.

Hello, Rob, Anne-Marie

Very beautiful song with your main vocal and Anne-Marie's background vocal which are top notch.
As Noel said, it is so nice to use the mode feeling that gives this tune medieval touch.
For example, using C major instead of C minor (end of Intro.), using G major, harmonic minor chord instead of G minor (the second chord of A part) in spite of the melody is basically written in natural minor scale.
And the electro flute as used in Strawberry Fields Forever is very effective.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best Regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Hope you do post the RT's. To our ears this sounds like a complex arrangement and one that works extremely well. We both are lacking in the music sophistication to parse out what is happening with the chords, etc....but it sounds great (and looks great).

The lyric and the video and the audio production are all superb but, for us, what really takes this over the top are the vocals. They are so well sung, arranged, recorded and mixed. Big studio sound!

Nice...

Very pretty!! Very well written and produced. Electroflute is cool! Gonna have to play with that. Nice air guitar-I could listen to that Brent Dreamypop RT all day long-one of my faves! Nice visuals in the video. Another stellar production! Take care. Greg

Well, you can thank your wife for that complement ;-)

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
