Het Lied Van De Zee / The song of the sea/O cancao do mar
alle leven komt uit zee
eeuwig is de zee
in het ijle ochtendlicht
zoek ik mijn gedicht
ik vind geen woorden
de zee maakt sprakeloos
eeuwig zingt hier de zee

het lied van de zee
draag ik met me mee
het lied van de zee
draag ik steeds met me mee

All life comes out of the sea
Eternal is the sea
In the early morning light
I search my poem
I can't find words
the sea makes speechless
eternal sings here the sea
The song of the sea
I carry within me
The song of the sea
I always carry within me

Toda a vida vem do mar
Eterno é o mar
Na sua claridade
Procuro a verdade
Não encontro palavras
O mar emudece
Sempre canta...o mar

A canção do mar
Trago eu comigo
A canção do mar
trago sempre comigo

That was great, Rob. And it was so cool to listen to it with the Dutch lyrics. The soloists worked really well, and the vocal was spot on. I loved the oboe intro/ending. Thanks!

Rob,
This is a lovely style and your whistful song does it justice - nice natural sounding vocal. I was singing along on the chorus... hearing some possible harmonies there.

Great listen. This is a good arrangement, mix, production and performance.

The instrumentation and chord progression is reminiscent of Donovan's style to me. Enjoyed this.

Rob,

that Oboe intro was beautiful, so haunting.

Rob,

A very enjoyable listen and well crafted lyrics. I can imagine listening to it while sailing the seas.

Agree with others regarding the beautifully recorded Oboe and Trombone.

Thanks for sharing.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
