My compulsive obsessive tendencies have persuaded me to enter all my lyrics into BIAB so that I can do away with my folder of lyrics and chords and use just my tablet or computer screen. Just wondering if there is any way to change the size of the lyrics on the default (notation?) screen in a similar way to the chord symbols? I've managed to alter the font size on the printouts, which is great, but I can't find an option for the default screen.
Also I either cut and paste lyrics from the web, editing as necessary or touch type them in. Any suggestion for the fastest way to enter them onto the main BIAB screen? At the moment I am doing it bar by bar, which is accurate, but a drag.

DEddy, I'm doing that now. It's very fast and then tab or backspace as necessary. A blues usually goes in correct 1st time.
Thanks Pipeline, I'll try these if I get fed up in BIAB, but I think I've got sufficient in BIAB for now. I'm working from memory, but I'm using another screen (Lead Sheet window) to see the chords and lyrics in BIAB. It seems to work fine if you get a good choice of size on the chords and lyrics using the various % options. Big enough to see in bad light or if you're old, like me. It's just a shame that there is no option to bring the screen up automatically when there are lyrics in a song, just like the Big Lyric Screen has, which I find no use for. I guess the big lyric screen is good for Karaoke files. Maybe do a video to show how it's done. You loose the main BIAB screen but live, that's not really a big deal. If I have the Videocam next to the PC, it looks like you are looking straight at the viewers. My sister reckons I look like I've stepped in something every time I look at my music stand (lol).

Pipeline, How do you get that screen to come up automatically? All I can get is the main screen with the tiny lyric typeface appearing in my rendered video! Probably an option that I've missed,

I just can't get a big font like you have for the vocals on mine. I've set all the options back to default but no joy.
This is a video of the problem. Just change the extension from .jpg to .avi. Interestingly, my Norton Security won't let me download your animation program, so I used debut which I have already.

Go into Prefs > Display and change Chords Main & Bar Based Lyrics sizes. The video renders the fonts a lot bigger. On the Main Screen Chord Display Button/Menu it should have a shortcut to Prefs > Display Biab is in Ctrl-T mode and video is render of those settings.
Yup, I'm happy with the size of the lyrics on the main screen now. I'm not bothering with the lead sheet window or rendering videos as I found a couple of songs started to stutter and not play back properly when playing them live. As long as I can see the lyrics and chords it works ok for me. Cutting and pasting and using the return and backspace key to line up stuff is quite fast, especially if you prepare it beforehand.

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
