This will work with the BB Chord Output Track also, I have the last version below in RealBand, you can put your key switches in another track set to Kontakt as well for pattern changes, open string between changes etc..
I have had my eyes on the First Version of this for a LONG time. The videos on the first version look way cool. Just waiting for a big sale. But now looks like I just pay the price and go with the version 2.
Native Instruments has released Session Guitarist – Strummed Acoustic 2, a new addition to the Session Guitarist series. Strummed Acoustic 2 complements the original Strummed Acoustic instrument, adding two carefully selected, vintage acoustic guitars – a 6-string Martin and 12-string Guild – plus more strummed patterns and new performance controls. Strummed Acoustic 2 runs in Kontakt 5 and the free Kontakt 5 Player and is available at the NI Online Shop for $99 / 99 € / ¥ 12,800 / £89 / AU$159.
Strummed Acoustic 2 includes two renowned instruments, captured in precise detail and played by skilled session players. Users can choose the warm, mellow tone of a small-bodied mahogany 6-string from 1934. Or they can select the full yet articulate sound of a benchmark jumbo 12-string – first produced in the late 1960s.
Strummed Acoustic 2 also introduces two new features:
'Separate Bass' patterns – played on the lower strings of the 6-string guitar – allows users to add custom bass lines or add extra low notes to chords to create slash chords (e.g. C/E, Dm/A).
The Tap Rhythm Finder enables users to quickly find the strumming pattern they need by tapping or playing a rhythm on a keyboard.
Strummed Acoustic 2 includes an extensive library of strumming patterns, with over 50% more content than the original Strummed Acoustic instrument. Each pattern features a rhythmic signature of dynamic accents, perfect for a diverse set of genres from rock, folk, and country, to bluegrass, Latin, pop, and more. Flexible performance controls enable users to recreate the musicality of pro studio guitarists from their keyboard. Sound control features and effects allow users to customize their sound and place the guitar perfectly in a mix.
Strummed Acoustic 2 was created in collaboration with drumasonic – the same sample instrument team who helped produce Strummed Acoustic. Using an array of vintage ribbon and condenser microphones plus boutique preamps, drumasonic captured every nuance of these classic acoustic instruments. A custom-built mounting rig and a laser-based microphone positioning system helped ensure precision and consistency for every chord and pattern during recording.
Thanks JMD, I appreciate your contribution also. Yes it is good you can use it with: Free KONTAKT 5 PLAYER (included in free KOMPLETE PLAYERS), or KONTAKT 5 so those interested don't need to buy the full Kontackt 5.
The bit I liked was the open string between changes option for more realism, you would just need to add that D# key switch in before the change.
Hey guys , also do yourselves a favour and also take the time to check out Realitones NEW instrument called FINGERPICK .., its like strummed acoustic 2 but its a fingerpickin accoustic and not strummed (also features a 6 and 12 string)

Looks very cool indeed. Thing is, I've not used RealBand much .. can someone tell me, in a for-dummies way, how, in RealBand, to do have the both the midi chord track and the other midi track, on which I'm playing the keyswitches, both send data to the Kontakt instrument? I'd be grateful for any help.
Just set another track to midi by right click, set to same channel, then set it to Kontakt also by right click > Specific VST/DXi for MIDI Track. You can add keyswitches to the midi chord track if you just want it all on one track. Set Kontakt to Omni or same channel as track/s.

Well I'll be damned I did it! Thanks Pipeline for the directions. BIAB Chord Chart exported to Reaper and then the Kontact Session Guitarists VST on the midi channel. Need to transpose up 2x and set the right midi channel. Thanks for the hints. It all seems oh so easy now , but I will never remember it. So I plan to make a movie if I get the time this weekend while it is all still fresh in my mind.

It is very cool. Sorry, I wasn't able to help with RealBand as my DAW is Reaper. Find a DAW and stick with it! Actually first tried in BIAB but hit some errors with memory. So I quickly just move to BIAB\Reaper. I really like this VST. Still do since no way can I play those tight rhythms!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
