TEMPO 65

such a lonely time, its the only time, that I've really missed you.

when we said goodbye, that little white lie, I was crying over you.

chorus

when you went away, left me there that day, then I wondered why, why I didn't try,

broke my heart in two, when you said were through, you just walked away, on that rainy day,

left me all alone, why ill never know did I ...stray.

instrumental

if there could only be, one more time for me,

then I would hold you in my arms, I would thank the gods above for

your tender love, and what you mean to me.

when you went away, left me there that day, then I wondered why, why I didn't try,

broke my heart in two, when you said were through, you just walked away, on that rainy day,

left me all alone, why ill never know did I ...stray.

Great song Colly,

I really enjoyed this from start to finish.

Very impressive vocal, and excellent choice of tracks.

Colly,

There`s a 50`s feel to this enjoyable ballad.Your vocal sounds good and I liked the arrangement -particularly the strings coming in.
Nice one!

Colly

Nice classic rock sound with a top quality vocal.

Just a small suggestion for what it's worth the 2nd instrumental with the strings is more defined as an instrumental whereas the first one has a nice sounding guitar but it sounds a bit far back and a bit like the backing track to me(which you may have intended).

Anyway nice song and lyric.

Peter

Sounds like you're a quick learner colly!

The only improvements I could suggest would be the inclusion of a hook and a more clearly defined melody in the break sections.

An incredible retro production on a dead-on 50s sounding retro hit. High quality stuff.

You did some unexpected things towards the end that added a brilliant twist to the genre. Pretty amazing man.

Great job.

Thanks David and Torrey

For your comments .

I have been doing a bit of tweaking with this one.

As I did feel the middle instrumental a bit hum drum....

Thanks

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
