I would love it if the name of the realtrack was auto named when you mix to wav. Guitar tracks that say Guitar (549 for example) instead of strings or what ever slot you used. I know crazy old man!

Yes, there are a number of legacy naming conventions that still need to be addressed.

+100! Almost two years ago I wrote this request and I was disappointed once more with 2017 version. I calculated that I rendered and manually renamed more than 400 files during this year. If each rename takes about 30 seconds, then I did more than 3 hours of manual work, I wish I could spend that time for making music instead... Janne

+1, absolutely. This kind of fixes should be, IMO, first priority for Pgmusic. Another example:

Back when they introduced the "feature" of having mixer tracks that matched the actual instrument I was very excited about this. Then, when I discovered it was implemented incompletely, I reverted back to having it display the defaults because consistency throughout is more important to me.

Cerio, I'm not sure how you got to that example shown in your screenshot, we haven't seen anyone else with that issue, and cannot duplicate it. Perhaps you can tell us more, such as what version you are using, and if you have set certain parameters to non defaults.
Or just mail us intrface.bbw and the song that you were using to support@pgmusic.com

Or just mail us intrface.bbw and the song that you were using to support@pgmusic.com Peter, using 456 here. The problem appears always, not only when I load a specific song. In fact, I thought it was a new feature introduced recently (I think -not 100% sure- the problem appeared with v.456, not before) Sometimes, one (or more) of the tracks are blank: Again, this problem didn't happen before (I think) 456. Return to Factory settings / deleting intrface.bbw doesn't solve the problem. I will email intrface.bbw to support@pgmusic.com with referencing this thread.

Thanks. It sounds like you have a development version, and if so it would be solved by running the official installer of 456 on the support page.

I tried your intrface.bbw and things display correctly. Something is messed up on your installation, like a missing file or something. I'm assuming that you are running it English (not Spanish).... correct?
Also, please confirm that you have these two files.

Yes, I'm running BIAB in English.
I'm going to return to 454 version to see if that solves the problem, and will let you know

Yes, definitely version 454 solves the problem: 454 shows track names correctly: 456 shows tracks names incorrectly:

Thanks, this is fixed in the next build. This would only happen for new RealTracks, and running Band-in-a-Box in non-English.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
