Hi, friends !

Sorry that I haven´t been able to
follow you more actively as I have
been too busy playing guitar in a
band playing old Shadows and Ventures
classics as well as leading a barbershop-
group and singing in a barbershop quartet
that just maybe will take part in the
competition for nordic seniorquartets
(and having a lot of gigs, naturally)!!

In any case, I had to come back to the
surf genré as I had studied a lot of
that terminology and just had to channel it
out somewhere !

Recorded with mixcraft 7 pro using stagg mic
for vocals.

The style is : CTRYPOP.STY snd the instros
within this style are:

Bass: 1268, Guitar 1: 405, Drums: Nashv.Even 8/5 hihatride
Pedal Steel: 603, Guitar 2: 629, and outside the style:
Synthpad: 1841

The links are:

http://app.box.com/s/9dsvovudvw9ljcqaghwh5f99tmkpv7tx

The Lyrics are:

COME LET´S GO (words and music by Norman Wibe)

Come let´s go, let´s fly away where the surf´s on the rise
let´s fly away, down to our favourite bay
let´s fly, so far away
I can´t wait to charge down those big waves, so nice

I´m so amped, it feels so great, gettin´ridin´my friend !
don´t get shacked, just let loose and let go
and pump, speed up the flow
down thru the backdoor of pipelines, you´ll do it again

There´s
nothin´like this,
what a sensation,
a great elevation
you just have to feel
a sweet tribulation
for the surf congregation
livin´ a life just like a seal
livin´the life completely for real
oh what a deal !

Been on Dawn, been on Dawn patrol, earla morn´
waitin´in line to tow myself in for the ride
to glide, yeah to glide,
showin´all my rads feelin´newly born

There´s
nothin´like this,
what a sensation,
a great elevation
you just have to feel
a sweet tribulation
for the surf congregation
livin´ a life just like a seal
livin´the life completely for real
oh what a deal !

Chargin´down a big one and I´m takin´no chance
junkyard dogs may be there in front of me
may they be, where I can see
othervise I could end up on a rocky ol´dance

Have a most wonderful Christmas !!!!

Cheers
Dani

Dani,

You may be busy but thanks for sharing your surf sounds.Very enjoyable!
You packed alot of terminilogy in there and captured the feeling especially with that driving guitar rhythm.
I always love listening to the layers of your harmonies where your group singing experience shines.

Dani,

A fun surf listen. Such voices! This seemed to mix a bit of Fifth Dimension with the Boys...

Have a great Christmas!

Hi, Joe, Trevor, Robert, Scott, Greg,
Janice & Bud, Floyd, David, Jez, Rob & Anne-Marie
and Shigeki !:))

I am sorry for this late answer and response
to your most kind Christmas and New Year wishes !
It is no excuse to refer to illness so please forgive
me !

I have to be honest ! I should not have posted this tune
as it was not ready enough, I should have worked a lot
more on it, but I wanted to post something as I have not
been able to do that for a long long time. I shouldn´t
have done it ! In any case it was most kind of you all
to response and what responses too, much too kind but,
as you all know I appreciated it truly much !

I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas and I sue hope
that the New Year will be as good as possible for you !

Take care

Dani

I especially enjoyed the way your voice, your baritone, comes on, so strong on rises. and I live near Santa Cruz and have never been on a surfboard but I liked the vocal backing, too.

Hi Dani. I enjoyed this one a lot. Great vocals and backing. This is a nice arrangement and performance. Some nice 'surf' lyrics in there too.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
