Can we get a packaged plugin with drum sounds that match at least a predominance of the sampled tracks? It would be nice when trying to add a crash or a splash that the sound be close. I have done it with my drum machines and typically that additional crash or splash really stands out as being obviously from a different source.
I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."
Other users have reported that many of the RealDrum audio tracks contain single hits, or one shots, of the drums used during the recording session. Perhaps you could copy the single hits you need and then import them into a sampler as needed. Having said all of that, I have not found a need to try the idea yet.
Also, another forum user recently posted a link to a soundfont created using RealDrum audio. The soundfont can be imported and used in the Plogue sforzando sampler provided with 2017 BiaB.
As mentioned, at the end of the RT files there are often single hit of each drum that can be either cut/pasted or used as samples. Copy a cymbal and paste wherever you want. I usually do this by opening the RD wma file in RB and going to the end and Copy]Paste each drum to a new track, then save each track to wav. Then open my project and import a drum sample and put it where I want.
Jim's right; I have made a RD kit in sForzando from the above samples using the RockEven8 RDs. I'm sure others can be made also.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Add my vote to this.
Yes, we can grab them out of the RT file, but if there were ready-made folders named after the original RT drum style with each or most of the drum samples as singles that would be a real good thing.
If all the RealDrums have been recorded on the same kit in the same room PG should be able to make a drum sampler with mixer and FX for each drum/cymbal and master, to create the custom bits we need in the actual realdrum track. If you open a txt file in the Drums folder then set the tempo in realband first of the wav/wma drums then drag it in you will see the shots at the end, the listing will be at the end of the txt:

I've had the 'give us a realdrum sample player' item in the wishlist for years. I've found ways to to do it (lotsa workaround effort)
Now I see I can make sForzando use realdrums samples (much like a sample player). I really think if PGMusic included some realdrum sample sets in sForzando natively a lot of users may like this. Being able to load a MIDI drum using the RD samples quickly, to me, would be very nice .. and it's not that hard to implement. Took me about a half hour at most to edit and create the RockEven8 sample set.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
With a PG RealDrum Sampler being use with a midi track it could also be used to generate up a drum phrase in wav, you could highlight the Bar/s/beats of an existing RealDrum track, Generate > Drum fill/solo, a DrumRiff window will come up and let you choose from midi drum phrases as well as being able to add your own midi phrases to the list/categories, RB will then write the midi to wav into the RealDrum track, the PG MultiDrumRiff Sampler will come up allowing you to mix/preview the levels before writing to track. When you click the Preview button it will play the selected midi through the PG RealDrums Sampler/mixer.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
