Hello, floyd
What a nice rock' roll tune. Very uplifting. Piano is so effective. And of course, I also love the lady doesn't want to go home. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best Regards.

Oh yes, I DO like that one.
A brilliant backing, Floyd and a mix which works well in both the 'phones and on the big Tannoys up LOUD.
Great story line - it always adds something knowing about the background to a song.
A super foot-tapper which I'm just going back to listen to again.
Classic.
ROG. ROG - You have always been very supportive of my rockier side what there is of it.... glad to know this works loud on the big boys...

I like it! I thought I was getting' ready to hear a tender ballad and ( I did look at the instruments and saw New Orleans Boogie piano) was blown away by this cool rocker. Wonderful job on this, I wonder if you're at the top of your game now( as in best you've ever been writing songs) because I seem to like every new song even more than the last one. Nearly every bar I played in had some mystery woman in it. This is great writing! love the drums and slide especially.
Kenny Thanks, Kenny. It is interesting that everyone seemed to expect a ballad - since this started (and ended) as an up-beat song. It is one of the "tricks" to commercial writing to put a ballad-kind-of-idea or lyric to an up-tempo melody/music... top of my game? I think you're just gettin' used to me.

she stares at her glass thinking nothing at all plays with a match and talks to the wall dreading the sound of another last call the lady doesn't want to go home
Some of my favorite lyrics from a song full of them!! Extremely well written and produced. The slide works perfectly. Production top notch as always, and a vocal that delivers. Interesting story too! I guess she just came back every night waiting for the guitar player to approach her. Another excellent write Floyd!! Take care. Greg I always appreciate your reviews, Greg. Thanks. Floyd,
This is great! Some serious boogie woogie! Outstanding vocal and mix. Loved it!
Bob Appreciate that, Bob.

Floyd, you are a true artist. Your songs are always so well put together and executed with precision and this one is no different. You have gathered quite a collection of great material. Great sound and performance on this one. Thanks, Torrey Torrey - I really appreciate that. Means a lot to me...

Floyd, The opening bars are a wake up after your backstory... we were all expecting a ballad, but this is fun. And very enjoyable-top drawer production ( love the ending),super vocals and harmonies. I also like the detail in your lyrics, especially this:
she stares at her glass thinking nothing at all plays with a match and talks to the wall dreading the sound of another last call
Robert
Robert - thanks for all of that. Can't catch up to you...

Lot's of good imagery songs give you a glimpse of the story but it's often as though seen through a mist. This one is crystal clear. We can see her like a segment from an HD movie. Forum folks set a record snatching all the superlatives before we sat down to listen again and write some thoughts. We are outliers in that we noticed the RT's before the first listen and weren't surprised by the well put together New Orleans rocking groove. Somebody mentioned you being at the top of your game -- we're wondering if you weren't born there! No need to categorize and comment on all the goodness here. It just flat out works. J&B PS Janice said to mention that she's been listening more as she does some chores. I always wonder what's going on with the dance around the house until I see the bluetooth earpiece

Hi Floyd,
Those new Orleans Boogie RTs surely sound great, are they from the 2017 Pak? And that slide guitar definitely fills it up bigtime! As always, great vocals, this almost sounds like a live band.

Well, I read the story first, and then pressed the link to play and wondered if I'd clicked on a different link.
Great and lively delivery Floyd. Right up there with your typical standard.
This is just so well produced, much more than a great song. Your use of subtle stops and the boogie style really nailed this. Just marvelous. Tervor - thanks for all of that - really appreciate it. (Man! I wish you would post another of yours - I have really liked your stuff...) Different than what the story would lead one to expect but when you're thinking back, the nine months likely seem to have flown by for you; makes sense to put speed into the song.
Another good write, mix, arrangement and performance. Enjoyed it.
Charlie Thanks, Charlie...

Jumpin'!
Like others, as I read the story and lyrics I had ballad on the brain. So, it was quite a trick to take that and country/rock/NOLA it.
And I like the space you put in the chorus/hook ; lights alone...////.... the lady doesn't.... Really sets up hook! Appreciate the listen, Andy.... Hi Floyd. Love the background story. It sets the scene so well. As does the lively backing. The rhythm and the phrasing of the verses is most pleasing to my ears. Good one. 'Make the jukebox cry'. Ahh... to be young... Cheers. Richard - nice to see you drop by... are you creating? - I bet, yes? Post?

Peter Appreciate all that, Peter...

Mr. Jane... All right, dang it, all right, that's IT! You hear me??? I've had enough of this, ENOUGH!!! No more of these finely composed, lyrically imaginative, professionally produced songs in the "User Forums." It's too much. I can't take it anymore. You "hope (we) like it"? You HOPE???!!! Mr. Jane, every time I listen to one of your songs, or "Janice & Bud's", or "guitarhacker(s)", or "TommyC(s)", or "Noel96(s)", and those of many, many other contributors to the forum who's names if included in this post would lengthen the time required to read it beyond most people's tolerance, I say to myself, "What the...?" There has GOT to be a larger audience for the music you folks gift to us. There just has to be. So, right now, at this solemn moment in time and space, I propose that NOBODY gets to listen to "User Forum" songs unless they pay for them, got it? PayPal it, drop an envelope in the slot at the post office, install a coin slot on our PC's, I don't care, but this free listening to musical productions that people like you have labored over has got...to...stop! Shell out, or shut up. That'll solve the royalty collection issues you brought up in your recent thread. Oh, yeah, and by the way, I really enjoyed listening to your song... LOREN (a.k.a. "bluage")

Thanks, y'all. Those NO Boogie pianos were prior to 2017. Either 2015 or 2016...
