Can a click track be created without having to physically input each beat or measure?
What I want to do is create a click track based on an imported MP3 track, then use that click track to align the notes I play.
Help is appreciated!

Open MP3 in PT
Use ACW to create a tempo map.

Insert one measure of click notes and copy/paste however many bars you want of it (repetitions).

I have a MIDI file of a 100 bar click. It's called Click.mid and is 100 bars of side stick on every beat. It plays at whatever the project Tempo is.
So I'll usually use ACW to make a tempo map, use Load Scrap or any other way to paste this MIDI click to a blank track.

Then I often convert it to an audio track so I can easily control the volume (meaning crank it up for the drummer's feed; PGPeaklimit is quite enough for most needs).

Also in your Metronome there is a "write to track" any click you like.

Great suggestion - it worked! I created the track with the "C" note. Then, I highlighted my music track and selected "align music to click track" and nothing seemed to happen. any advice? Thanks!

You can use the Audio Chord Wizard "ACW" it's quicker and easy than click track recording.

I have used acw, but how do you get your music to line up with it?
Thanks - Bernie

Open the file in ACW right click on the first beat of the song to set to Bar 1, move the little bar markers to line up with the bars if they are out, as you do this the markers will automatically adjust and line up with the rest of the song.
