Crazy

©2017 Robert Randall Burke

Well, my baby thinks I'm crazy
And she always calls me lazy
Cause I sleep the day away
You know I try to tell her
I'm a night-time feller
And you gotta rest up to play
But baby, you know
I'm c -c-c-c-crazy for you.

When the sun goes down
I head to town
To look for Jimmy and Joe
Gonna ring that bell
Gonna raise some hell
C'mon, we got to go
But baby, you know
I'm c-c-c-c-crazy for you.

Well, my baby thinks I'm crazy
And she always calls me lazy
Cause I sleep the day away
You know I try to tell her
I'm a night-time feller
And you gotta rest up to play
But baby, you know
I'm c -c-c-c-crazy for you.

Bob, I was just transported to New Orleans with that one. Everything sounds great, especially the vocal! Thanks, Torrey

"I'm a night-time feller
And you gotta rest up to play"

HAHAHAHA!

Man, this production is great use of the Dixie/NO RT's.

Love the vocal, the lyrics and the cool holds/stops.

And, a very effective mix to top it all off.

And it had janice singing harmony half way through!

Nice

Bob,

Sounds like a combo of Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash going Dixieland - loved it!

Bob,

that was unexpected! Not in terms of quality.. (which is great!) but in terms of style.. I've come to expect serious historical ballads from you (and you do them so well!)... but this was just plain FUN! From start to finish, you had my attention!

You're showing your performer side with this one... years of experience getting people out of their chairs and up on the dance floor. If I were the dancing type, this one would have definitely gotten me on the floor!

Clever lyrics too... it's all good, from start to finish! My hat is off to you... you must have had a blast recording this one! It had to be as much fun to write as it is to hear!
