Welcome aboard, Mike.
Which version and release of BIAB are you using (PC or Mac)? Lots of folks here are happy to share their experiences, as well as tips, tricks, and work-arounds.

Welcome Mike to one of the most friendly sites on the web. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Here the only dumb question is one that is not asked. Most all of us are willing to help.
Have fun.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Welcome to the forum, Mike. In case it is helpful, there is also a French language forum here in the International section of the forums. If you post about a problem here, in addition to John's question, let us know if you are using a different language keyboard and/or non-English version of BIAB; sometimes it helps to save time when troubleshooting.

Hi Mike, glad you've found us. You're going to like the folks here! Best bunch of music friends ever.
Be sure to add a byline to your signature (like mine below) so we all know what type of equipment you're using. It helps us give you specific advice when we know what equipment you're using.

Good day:
My guitar teacher has been at me to get this program for years. I am composing, and find this to be a wonderful resource and learning tool so far. I am getting through the manual...oof.... Nice to know I can bounce my questions around here as well. Notation and writing melodies to my chord progressions will be a challenge once I can get to that

Welcome to Band-in-a-Box and the forum.
Nice introduction. Looking for to hearing your compositions. Which package are you starting out with, is it the Pro, Mega, UltraPlus, Everything or Audiophile?
We will be looking forward to your questions if you encounter any bumps along the way.
Also you may want to consider adding the BiaB package information to your signature to avoid questions in the future.

Welcome, eddieknuckles -
Feel free to ask your questions. Clearly you have experience with computer based audio, since you also have ProTools, ACID, and Sound Forge.
You should find us a friendly, helpful bunch here. And then hopefully you will post some of your original music in the User Showcase forum.
