David,

You just took me on a journey and half! My brain is still reeling, I think. As always, unfettered musical invention is your forte and creative possibilities seem to spring endlessly from you mind. I truly admire your ability.

All the best,
Noel

Hey Big John, sorry to hurt your ears man.

I have a new song about butter flies and kittens coming up soon.

Stay tuned man.

In My Peaceful Poppy Garden
where the puppies all run free
candy corn and magic bubbles
Puffy the Purple Dragon....and me

That's all I have so far, but it's gonna be fresh.

No, but seriously, thanks for the listen man.

smile

Bob,

You are my hero and guide. One of those days I want you to give me a workshop on how to make an album cover. Yours are great and mine are horrible. Please consider giving me a lesson one day.

Floyd,

You have just given me my next album title.

You are forever, and always will be, my Merlin Guide in the Icy Forests of Xanadu.

Wizard a true star man. Wizard a true star.

Right on man. Life During Wartime. This ain't no party or C.B.G.B. and I ain't got time for that now.

My favorite quote of all time:

"Mr. Byrne, do you do drugs?"

"No. I AM the drug."

Thank you Peter. I was totally in a David Byrne mood and using the herky jerky moves from "Stop Making Sense" while I was singing it.

It helped a lot!!!!

Rob and Anne-Marie:

Violent?

My wife and I watch Midsommer Murders from the BBC, in fact we are addicted to it.

If you REALLY want violent and twisted let me know and I will whip up a batch.

That was nursery school.

Mario, Ha ha. Thanks man.

Don't play it for your wife though. I wouldn't want the forum feedback stats to suddenly go into a massive skew.

Uh, I don't know to say except that I will agree to go back on my meds when Stephen King agrees to go back on his.

Until then, I have stuff to write dude.

Thanks Tommy. Glad you liked the guitars. There were four parts from me all using the same effect: none.

Just a Fender Telecaster plugged into a Fender tube amp.

Most beautiful sound in the whole wide world to me.

smile

Thanks again. Been loving your new stuff as well.

Hey Guys!! It will be ok! My mood is shifting. As I said in an earlier reply I am now working on a tune call Puffy the Purple Dragon which should help calm everyone down.

It goes..

In My Peaceful Poppy Garden
where the puppies all run free
candy corn and magic bubbles
Puffy the Purple Dragon....and me

That's all I have so far, but it's gonna be fresh.

smile

Thanks for enduring the nightmare!!!!

A little jerkier on the rhythm and this'd be a lost late talking heads track. Nice one.
It all works except for the intro drums - something about it - but that's personal taste.
David Byrne'll be peeved as he hasn't written anything this good in decades.

Cheers

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
