Some great stuff on here lately. Here's a little sketch about a girl and a beach. Can't pull up the memo, my BIAB is all haywire.

Sunny
©2016 Robert Randall Burke

Sunny likes the ocean-side
Where the seabirds fly
Sunny takes it all in stride
Never asking why.

You will find her
On the beach
Flowing golden hair
She will stay just out of reach
If she knows you're there.

How I love to see my Sunny shine
Someday I'll be making Sunny mine.

Have you seen
An angel dance
On a cloud of sand?
Have you tried
To take a chance
To hold her in your hands?

There's a rainbow
In her eyes
Fire in her hair
Funny when you realize
She doesn't have a care.

How I love to see my Sunny shine
Someday I'll be making Sunny mine.

Someday...
Some way.....
Someday Ill be making Sunny mine.

Thanks for listening.

Regards,

Bob

Hi Bob,

Di and I are suckers for a good song with a mild Latin beat. And this is a GREAT song ... we were hooked from the beginning. Your vocals are always so pleasing to our ears.

Loved the chord pattern on the chorus - really nice!

I really like this. I think it's a perfect combination of instruments with your lyrics and vocals. Nice harmonies too. It's sad the beach music stations are so locked into their small clique. This is so much a better write and production than the cliche, cookie cutter beach songs they regurgitate over and over again.

This is a good song that fits well with Gary Lowder of Smokin' Hot if you were to think of pitching the song one day. He's on FB and gets a lot of airplay on Myrtle Beach radio.

Enjoyed this one a lot.

Charlie

Bob,

Yet another very competent demonstration of how to take only a few words and use them to create an inspired work of musical art. This is such a good listen!

I really enjoyed the flow of the music, your singing and lyric journey. Those hints of incidental instruments with flute, voices, English horn were very inspired arranging. In addition, Penny's harmonies were a perfect fit (as they always are).

The chorus, particularly the last line, brought images of Bobby Goldsboro and his songs to mind.

Really enjoyed this one.

Regards,
Noel

Hey Bob, I'm with Alan on this especially on the line

"How I love to see my Sunny shine" love the changes

and melody there

Love that latin beat and that bass (where have I heard that before?)

just a quirky coincidence I think my new one has made use of some

of those same real tracks

really nice song, very good writing and melody

What a cool song Bob. When it start the first thing that popped into my head was a Johnny Rivers feel. Very cool vocal and lyric. The rhythm to the song was very cool as well...

Beautiful, Bob.

A really nice write. I always envy your economy of words. A real skill.

Excellent production. Super job on the strings - Al Delory-like...

Excellent vocal - and harmony!

So very listenable...

Bob, your usual high standard shines through with this delivery.

The song is characterized by a perfect mix, brilliant vocals, colorful and sentimental lyrics.

This has everything, and the choice of a Latin style is the icing on the cake.

Excellent, really excellent.
