Here is another song I remixed using BIAB.

https://soundcloud.com/froilan-g-villegas/child-of-god-remixed

Below are the track details:

- Drums : NashvilleEven16^5-a:Snare, HiHat , b:Snare, Ride
- Bass : ~572:Bass, Electric, Blues BB Ev 085
- Guitar 1: 838:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopBalladClean Ev 085
- Guitar 2: 1004:Guitar, 12-String Acoustic, Rhythm ClassicRockStrumming Ev16 065
- Guitar 3: 1540:Guitar, Electric, Soloist PopBelieve Ev16 065
- Organ : ~~688:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 065
- Piano : 894:Piano, Acoustic, Solo-Accompaniment PopLondon Ev 065

I created 2 BIAB files for this song to have more instruments. I then render each instrument to AIFF and add it to GarageBand. In the process, I think I forgot to save the BIAB song at one point. As a result, I lost the details of the mandolin that is also included in the song.

Vocal track was recorded using Acid Pro 7
Final mix was done using GarageBand

I'm still playing the song in different sound systems to see what I need to adjust in the mix, especially the vocals.

Thanks Joe.

I wish BIAB can have more than 7 instruments at a time.

This is another excellent song from you. Everything about this is so well done. The backing tracks are excellent and your vocal is outstanding. Nice mix, too! We loved it!

Thanks Scott, Alan & Di.

The more I use BIAB, the more I'm loving it. But there's still a lot to learn.

Really great song, and excellent mix. All of the instrumentation is pretty much perfect, and the guitar lead sits exactly right in the mix.

Great job!

Hi Froi, You can export multiple RealTracks at once using the .wav menu inside of Band-in-a-Box. You can view a tutorial on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smiCoMxPJNg

Open your project in Real Band.... it starts with the tracks you have in BB, but you can add many more....

Thanks.

This is one thing I can't still figure out. How do you activate Real Band in BIAB? I tried doing the steps found in the internet but I can't follow. As I understand it, Real Band is included in BIAB.

Froi,

Realband comes with the Windows version of the software. It's not part of the Mac suite. If you have Windows BIAB, then Realband will have it's own shortcut to c:\Realband\realband.exe

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
