Dear Al and Di,

Maybe I haven't told you lately
how much I love your songs
and maybe I wasn't as good
as I could have been
checking up and logging in

Maybe I should I have said more
often
Dang your songs are fine

But you were always on my mind
Al and Di
You were always on my mind

I'm not as well versed in country as FJ but I can hear some "Sunday Morning Coming Down" or "For the Good Times" vibe in this. I really love the simple, authentic lyrics and pretty melody. Excellent stuff!! Take care. Greg

Ha! Loved that, David! Your creative talent has no bounds! We don't worry about when folks do or don't stop in for a listen and leave a word or two. We know how "life" can get in the way of a lot of things. Besides, you rarely miss one.

We appreciate all that! We're delighted you enjoy what we do. We work hard at making them as good as we can. I'm getting a little extra education on the side about how to better exploit the tricks and whistles & bells of BIAB and Real Band that's gonna make a big difference in the quality of our music. We're looking forward to using that education in the near future.

Thanks again! best to you.

Alan & Di

Hello Greg,

Thank you so much for that very kind reply to our song. "For The Good Times" is exactly what Shell and I had in mind as the project progressed. "For The Good Times" and "I Won't Mention It Again", both KK writes, had gone to the top of the Country charts not long before this song was written. Shell and I both really liked the songs, so it ended up going in that direction.

Shell had written almost all the lyric a year or so before and wasn't sure where to go with the music. He originally had it as a 3/4 waltz. i thought it flowed better as a 4/4 ballad. This is where it ended up.

Thanks again. Wishing you the best,

Alan & Di - Shell, too

Alan and Di,

This is really wonderful. It truly is like stepping back in time. You've done a really good job putting this together. The interrupted cadence that led into the extended ending took me by surprise (as it's supposed to) and made me think... "Now that's what I call a classy ending! Very very effective."

I really enjoyed this a great deal and I'm heading back for more, now.

All the best to you both,
Noel

Hello, Alan & Di

As Intro. started with a minor cliché descending by semitones, I thought that a minor melody will follow momentarily.
But it was superbly overturned and a classical beautiful major melody began.
I thought your vocal was very good for this song.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thank you so much, Noel. This is the music I played for many, many years. I'm glad it all works! And this is what I call a classy review! Thanks again and wishing you the very best!

Love fj's description of Ray Price!

A veritable time capsule back to when it was well worth the time to turn on country radio.

Yep, we like it!

Howdy Folks!

Why, thank you so much. We certainly do appreciate your kindness. We really hadn't made the Ray Price - Kris Kristoferson connection, but as soon as we read Floyd's comment we looked at each other and said "Duh! Why didn't we see that?"

Thanks again. Wishing you bothe the very best.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
