Hello, everybody I have never posted Bossa Nova Tune once in this forum, so I would like to post such a tune this time. Title: Precious Vocal: Natsuki Yoshikawa, our local female jazz vocalist Link: https://soundcloud.com/animarorecords/preciousStyle is !BYRDQRT.STY (MIDI) Acoustic Bass (33) assigned to Acoustic Bass, Nylon Guitar (25) assigned to Nylon Guitar, Style is BOSANUVO.STY (MIDI) Slow String (50) assigned to Strings, MIDI Drums assigned to Jazz Brushes Kit & GM Percussion, All instruments played with EastWest Goliath. Additional Piano played by Miya Nakajima, our local female jazz pianist. Summary of lyrics Half-drunk tea Half-read magazine Knocking on the glass window The sound of rain becomes strong Just a little more Please stay here I cannot say obediently even such words My heart has blamed you for a long time But I will forget the sorrow if I could see you People go around the streets with umbrellas Under the rain clouds spread all over the sky Which are sometimes broken If only one real thing can be found I will not mind losing everything Time flows to the night as it is Also tomorrow it must be a common day But if I could endure it This love surely will be forever

Shigeki Adachi,
A beautiful song.
Nice job with the MIDI tracks. Well mixed.
The vocal by Natsuki Yoshikawa is delightful. The additional piano from Miya Nakajima is very nice.
You do Bossa Nova as well as everything else you do.

Shigeki,
Smooth and lovely. Natsuki`s vocal is a warm, expressive delight. Your MIDI instruments sound great - as we`ve come to expect from you. Very enjoyable music!

Hello, floyd, Tom, Robert and Kenny
Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment. I much appreciate your very kind words and your continuous supports. I am very happy you all like Natsuki's vocal and Miya's piano. Tom Jobim is one of favorite composer, so I tried to make this tune by modeling his works.
Best regards.

I think Jobim would be very pleased with this - oozes class. A superb piece of work. Great playing and singing over a brilliant arrangement.

What a gorgeous Bossa Nova - one of our very favorite genres of music. Di and I wrote a couple dozen of them a few years back. We are going to pick the better ones and redo them in BIAB.
This is just so smooth and easy on the ears. The vocal and additional piano were wonderful and the arrangement was superb. Really nice!

Shigeki, I was captivated from the very first note.
There is just so much to enjoy with this song.
Superb vocal delivery, excellent mix, perfect balance of instruments. Who said MIDI couldn't deliver!
And what about that delivery on piano Miya Nakajima? More than sensational. She holds a conversation with the vocals throughout the song. Masterful presentation.
Going to be listening to this a lot more.
More please!

Shigeki Adachi,
I listened to this quite a while back and was blown away. It seems that I forgot to leave a comment. My apologies. There's no two ways about it, this is inspired music making at its very best. You handled the bossanova style with pizzazz... comfortable and competent all the way. Natsuki Yoshikawa's singing is superb! You certainly have a fine collection of musicians in your circle of musical friends!
I really, REALLY enjoyed this.
All the best, Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
