This is a tune written after Katrina and how things can get better after the storm. My wife took the idea and crafted some great lyrics and sang all the vocal parts (many layers here). Band in a Box provides real tracks for drums and piano. Multiple styles were used to generate midi parts that I then tweaked and I played bass on this. Recorded in Reaper and Pro Tools - mixed and mastered in Reaper. Hope you enjoy.

yes, what Floyd said! Your wife's vocals are silky smooth, pitch perfect and your accompaniment is spot on for this type of song! I hear a bit of the Carpenters in this arrangement, and I say that with highest praise... it takes some talent to evoke that comparison!

I see that you generated then tweaked the midi parts, and I want to commend you on the awesome job you did across the board! Everything from strings to horns sounded perfect, and I've messed with MIDI enough to know that never happens by accident!

I look forward to hearing more from you and your talented wife!

You folks hit it out of the park with this!! I love this sound! The vocals are nothing short of outstanding (especially the harmony work) and the solo in the middle was a very nice touch! keep on posting these! Thanks, Torrey

Knowing the story behind it, the song takes on a whole new meaning. It's such a hopeful song, and reminds us to stay optimistic.

Love it, and keep up the great work.

Wow, there's lots of great quality throughout this masterpiece.

The choice of style is simply perfect. There's a bit of 'Manhattan Transfer' and 'Al Jarreau' class throughout this.

No doubt a big effort, and the result is amazing.

Great soul tune, I really like the smooth vocals, reminds me of Lari White. The chord progression is very soulful and enjoyable and the mix is excellent.

Talk about soul! Subject matter aside, this is an incredible tune. It's got an addictive groove, and those harmonies are fantastic! Add in the context in which the song was written and it takes it to the next level. Thanks so much for sharing, tsanders smile
