All I remember is beginning to type a two character sequence and I hit a third key by mistake. Don't know which. It was a combination I type all the time so I wasn't observing my typing.
Here's the bad part. Booting to another H.D. yields the same screen charistics which are
Black Background, white text. Everywhere! Off the wall color scheme everywhere else.
I cannot un mount my H.D. in Disc utility to repair the disc. I was able to repair permissions.
I'm 73 and have glasses for the focal distance at my DAW, I can not see a blinking cursor or much else with this color scheme. Can anyone help.
Mac pro os X.X,5. Don't want to upgrade OS. Plenty of ram and drive space, but I could use a few trillion more neurons to work with.

I do feel your pain, otherwise this would be a funny story. Maybe post this also in the BIAB for Mac forum? PC users can't help and you want the Mac users here to help identify the offending keystroke combination. Then send a Wishlist request to PG Music to consider remapping the keys, if they are that easy to hit by accident?

Hi Matt, glad to see you are still here. I've been absent for a long time.
I was able to thrash around in system prefs long enough to stumble on something that corrected my problem.
In the Accessability part of prefs, a tiny box where I checked invert colors and bingo it's Zipidy doo dah once more. The key combo I typed must have toggled it away from my normal environment.

just a guess..... go to preferences and look for a return to factory/original settings.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
