Oh yeah! We've always liked those early Beatle songs that were so obviously influenced by the Every Brothers.

For us you've, intentionally or not, nailed that feeling.

And along with the feeling is a fine write, vocal performance and production.

Nice!!

This is a good song.
I like the mix, your vocal is up front, smoothly sung and well performed.
In fact, there's a melodic vocal smoothness that reminds me of the song "How Long" by Ace back in '74. (that's a compliment :))

The only aspect that does not appeal to me is the vocalizing 'la la's' at the end.
I think it would sound much better if you just repeated:
"Love conquers all, they say
Just give it one more day
Before you throw it all away"....then end on that or as you see fit.
Or, the same melodic line but by an axe or other lead instrument.

I hope you receive my comments as intended.....respectfully.,
This is just my take on a good tune.

Well done Bobeth......I like it.

Wayne,

Thanks for the comments. The "la-las" at the end were just ad-libbed. Penny hates them too! grin

Bob

Chuckle....
Hey....I never said 'hate'. smile
Do tell Penny Hi for me.

I just think they don't fit and actually detract from the song's cool vibe/performance.

Did I mention I thought it was a cool song? smile

Thanks for responding.....back to it.

Hi, Bob !

This was really nostalgic
all through ! Sounds of
the sixties yes, but put
so delicately in new form
by you !

I love this kind of music
and your tune and singing
was just superb !

Cheers

Nice acoustic guitar work in this.

floyd,

This one is a throw-back to those times. Thanks for listening and commenting.

ROG,

Thanks for the kind words. That Everly/Early Beatle sound was what I was aiming at - with that live feel.

Bob,

This is great! I've quoted Kenny because he said exactly what I was thinking as I listened. You took me back to the sound of some my earliest musical memories. I really enjoyed the song.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
