Hey Rob,
Took me back to about 1958 with one! Love this old rockabilly style. When I was in high school - early 1960s - this is what we listened and danced to. Thanks for some great memeories!!!
Nice mix and delivery. Enjoyed it!
Alan

Very cool tune. Love this style of music. I was pretty young when this style of music was hot but loved it when the Stray Cats brought it back into the main stream. Well done

Really Cool song. the vocals are a little loud overall & the 1st note in each verse comes in very harshly that could be automated down a little or even adjust your compressor.

"a hybrid between Bill Haley and Eddy Cochran"
You hit that mark. For the style, you could have more reverb on your vocals and the piano could be just a touch louder (to balance it against the guitar).
You do this style well.

Rob, I missed out on this style in youth, but you got my feet tapping and your vocal has that confidence and bit of "attitude" that makes it authentic. A good rocker!

Sounds very Elvis to us! But this is definitely one of your best ones so far. We were pleasantly surprised by the structure of the bridge, that was very functional in the song.
Good work!

You nailed it Rob. Sounds like what I played on the jukebox and heard at "sock hops" during the late 50's.
If BiaB had RealVoices you would own this genre.
Well done!!

Great work here - it's got an infectious melody, and had my foot tapping within the first few measures. It's some great character behind it, and I can definitely hear the Bill Haley and Eddy Cochran influence here.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

I think you were successful in your fusion! The image you selected for the track makes me want to go to the local dance hall! Also your lyrics totally capture that era's dance nightlife. Victoria has a pretty big "vintage" and "retro" community, so that sort of dancing style is still alive and well out here, and there's quite a community for it. This has totally inspired me. Thanks for sharing, and great job on the hybrid!
Cheers, Ember

Headed to the hop with my girl, Sally. Heard a guy named "Rob4580 and His Rollin' Rocks" is gonna wail on that rock and roll it out hot! Can't wait t' hear the latest, "One, Two, Three, Bop!" It's the wildest, daddy-o!
Nuff said? Solid, you sinners! Whaddya say we swing through that door an' hit the floor!

I was born in '54 so I remember the tail end of rockabilly. And then of course the Stray Cats brought it back many years later. You have the style pretty much nailed I think! Good write and vocal.

I really enjoyed listening to this. The style sits very comfortably with you. As I said on Soundcloud, this was very entertaining!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
