Hi Rich,
Okay, it's a little rough. But you have the foundation of a pretty danged good song here. Nice chord arrangement and good backing tracks. There's a lot of good stuff to work with here. With a little attention and work, this could be a a real scorcher! Great start for a terrific song in the making. Best to you, mate.

Great work here, Rich It may sound a little rough, but you can definitely hear the potential here for a fantastic song! It has a great arrangement, and a really good groove on it. Can't wait to hear what this evolves to - thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

Good to see you back around.
Enjoyed it and the lyric could be metaphorical -- applicable for a lot of things happening in the world nowadays.
Cool!

Despite its roughness (which it is only slightly rough), you have all the workings of a fantastic song! With a bit more tweaking, this song will knock people's socks off. All the ground work is already done.
Glad to see you getting back in to the program! <3 And can't wait for the next one.
Cheers, Ember

Thanks Al for your generous comments. I'm a starter but not much of a finisher. May look at it again one day. Best wishes to you and Di.

Thanks Bud. Hope you and Jan are well. Like the comment about the metaphorical. Maybe the "sorry state of the union" deserves it's own song. Cheers.

Cool tune Rich!! I think everything works-good melody and very strong lyric. I like the heavier rock vibe for this tune. Nicely done! Good to see you back!! Take care. Greg

i always enjoy your writing
and this is another clever catchy one
good melody too, I like the roughness
you know, where I come from vase and past don't rhyme
(sounds just fine when you sing it)
enjoyed the listen,

Good to have you back Rich! Nice this one. The transition to the chorus gets this song some extra power.

A good rock sound Richard. Good to see you back doing some music...
I'd turn those drums up (a bunch).

Hi Floyd. Hope you've been well. Thanks for the super useful feedback. (done turned em up) I hardly ever play with drums and tend to forget all about them. Cheers.

Hi Kenny.
Your vase and past comment made my day. Varze or Vayse. Glad you enjoyed the song. Interesting how different accents give different rhymes.
Of course I don't have an accent. Everyone else does. I talks proper. Hahaha. Cheers.

Thank you Rob. I hope to get more time for music now. And do some more listening. There are so many skilful people here I think maybe I should take up golf instead. Cheers.

Your vocal delivery is pretty Rod McKuen but the song sounds good. The arrangement is fine in a country rock. Interesting hybrid style. You should scout around the board for a collaborator to sing for you. Hey, send Jacinda an email!
