You picked a perfect tempo to demonstrate what you set out to achieve.

Nice clean guitar sound throughout, with good balance.

The WahWah fx was a little unexpected, but added to the 'melancholy' you set out to deliver.

Very enjoyable Scott.
Reminds me of Peter Greens Albatross (a favorite of mine) a little.
Can hear the melancholy.
Cheers.

The commentary paired with the song really does expression a very profound melancholy. I love how expressive music is, and this song is certainly no exception to that. I really, really enjoyed this one.

Thanks for sharing!

The feeling of any tune is everything to me. This one said it all. So did your comment in your post. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground any more. Awesome tune! You should really submit some of your work for soundtracks. I've seen several movies lately that this tune would have been perfect for.

Nice melody Scott, and the Gretsch sounds sweet!
I started hearing some distortion after you kicked in the wha pedal, not sure if you are clipping at your end or if it is soundcloud?
But a good instrumental, enjoyed the listen!

What a tune, Scott! I really loved the song - it sets a somber and somewhat beautiful atmosphere. The music is extremely expressive and emotional, and you can really feel it in your soul.

Thanks so much for sharing smile

Hi, Scott !:))

I agree with you, it is
easy nowadays to get lost
in the middle !!!!

Your tune reflects your
mood absolutely superbly
and if I´m not mistaken
this is one of your absolutely
best, if not even the best !!!

Wish I could play like you !

Cheers

love that guitar pic,

nice tone, great mix

very melodic, cool use of the wah wah to make a political statement (just kidding)

I think that you get better with each song,

if we're lucky we all do,

enjoyed,

Kenny

Well melancholy sums this work up well.
This would make a great western movies sound track.
This world is going down the tube fast, sadly.

Scott,

I really like the soundscape you`ve created- moody, with that edge the wah adds in the middle.
The Gretsch has a really nice tone, but its all in the feel you bring...which is unmistakably Scott.

Hi Scott,

"... just seems to very little common sense." Ain't that the truth??

Your song does an excellent job of portraying the mood you intended to provoke. Sweet sound and the Gretsch was a great choice for this one. They have a distinctive sound that can't be imitated by other brands.

Great playing and lots of "feel" in the delivery. A really great track! Best to you,

Alan

Hello, Scott

Very melancholic tune!
Your guitar tone is wrapped in elegant sorrow.
12/8 beat reminds me of "A house of the rising sun" a little bit.
As trevor said, I also thought the WahWah fx was a little unexpected, but added to the 'melancholy' you set out to deliver.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
