My Sweet Bunny

This time a merrier song than my usual work, made for a special occasion. I'm singing the lead vocal and the extra bassline in the chorus. It was fun to write the lyrics and to sing, and BIAB really gave many nice folky instruments to choose from. I hope it brings you joy and summer feelings smile

Based on your feedback on my previous song, I tried to cut the low frequencies and lift up some higher frequencies (4khz) of my voice in the mix more, do you think it is enough or do I still need to work on it?

RealDrums: GypsyJazz, MotownFunkyTriplets
RealTracks:
Acoustic Bass: #2126
Electric Bass: #2362
Acoustic Piano: #2225
Electric Piano: #2363
Acoustic Guitar: #938
Electric Guitar: #651
Pedal Steel: #2672
Ukulele: #1142, #1143
Fiddle: #1117

Lead vocal, 'bass': Janne
Backing vocals: Vocaloids (Ruby, CyberDiva, CyberSongman)

Mixed in Adobe Audition 2017

Lyrics:

My sweet bunny
sing me a song
snuggle in my armpit
all night long.
My sweet bunny
sing lullabies
remind me what we have done
under the skies
there was a cozy
warmup in May
then fire at the sunset of the
beautiful day.

Thanks to my angel
I feel alive
my sweet bunny, catchy smile
My bambi eye from the woods
my matching part
my sweet bunny, lionheart.

My sweet bunny
put potatoes to boil
in your hair I smell
the coconut oil.
My sweet bunny
pass me a wing
use the napkin, wipe the
grease off my chin
picnic on the isle
green moss in the sun
remember people walking by
they saw our fun.

Thanks to my angel...

My sweet bunny
pour me some wine
give me a long kiss
my valentine.
My sweet bunny
here's a pint of pale beer
your coaster has my name
you're so special and dear.
Lean on me tight
I'll walk you to my house
I'll lend you my old toothbrush
you can sleep in my blouse.

Thanks to my angel...

My sweet bunny
so important to me
my inspiration
my Calliope.
My sweet bunny
my gifted muse
I have perfect time
on a lifetime cruise
with you.

Sweet, funny song. I enjoyed!!
The mix sounds good, Janne. I would just increase a bit the volume of your vocals, but overall the mix sounds really nice and balanced, to my ears at least. Thumbs up!

Dear "jannesan"...

"My sweet bunny
pass me a wing
use the napkin, wipe the
grease off my chin
"

Love, even at its best, can be messy emotionally, and sometimes physically, even. So, when I encounter lyrics that speak so honestly of the mundane, not-so-very-romantic aspects of loving relationships, they just ring more true than the most passionate exclamations of "Baby, I love you/need you/want you/can't live without you..." and so on.

Enjoined to the rollicking music, the lyrics for "My Sweet Bunny" are a testimonial to people who aren't afraid to "get their hands dirty" when it comes to expressing what they find truly endearing about their loved ones.

Thanks Jon, I appreciate your kind words smile I'm glad to hear the mix is good. The volume of my vocal was bit difficult to decide, because on headphones it sounds bit too loud, but on speakers maybe not loud enough.

Hi Janne,

Sounds good to my ears ... don't think I'd change anything. It's real nice to hear you singing your own songs.

A really sweet tune and you sounded excellent on the vocals. That was a fun listen! Wishing you the very best,

Alan

Thanks Loren for your really beautiful words smile I'm really glad you appreciate the mundane aspect of my lyrics blush I agree that you don't need big words to express certain feelings, touching moments are many times in small friendly details.

Hello, Janne

It is a very fun and cute song.
Even in simple, there is ingenuity in the chord progression as usual, I feel your usual composing style.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Customers LOVE Band-in-a-Box®!

Here's some of the amazing feedback we've received lately, from program users just like you!

Arthritic fingers means I find it very difficult to play anything. This program is amazing - and it does use real musicians!
-Bob E.

The power of this program is just unbelievable! It's been a best kept secret for a couple of decades now. A song writer's dream!
-Mike D

This band can practice any time of day ...LOL
-William G

Band-in-a-Box works so simple you could teach a child to do it within minutes - the RealTracks are amazing. Doing an album as we speak. I challenge you to give it a try. I am 60 years old and even though I've played 50 years, I am no engineer. But as a song writer I needed some effective tools to create quality production of my work. This is IT! It's as easy as typing and filling in the blanks. The instructional videos allow you to change settings while watching the pro. I myself purchased every "RealTrack" I could get... Take it from me, don't let this overwhelm you. It is absolutely a writer and solo artist dream!
-John S

Best part of Band-in-a-Box is that it saves me having to program drums, the Real Drummer part of the software is brilliant and natural sounding. I then layer real instruments with guys from my band. As a songwriter, Band-in-a-Box has saved me so much time it's ridiculous.
-Andy B

Incredible Software. Great for ignorance and experts and for anyone who wants to deal with music. If you do not have a hobby and want to have one "Band-in-a-Box" is the best choice. Simple, but if you want to be an expert on it, you need to make an effort to master it perfectly for perfect use. The only disadvantage is if you do not want to become a musician, and use it, you will become a perfect musician. Therefore, be cautious. It's not a toy. ;)
-Ilija B.

Been a BIAB man since '92, such a comprehensive source for music making! So much more to offer than "loops", it allows actual music composition to be realized. Evolve from harmonic ignorance and find out what REAL music is made of!
-Don D.

A must for any musician who wants to improve on his own, or to share his musical ideas in a professional high quality rendition.. You just play with the best musicians and that's great ♪ :)
-Jean-Marie D.

I use Band in a Box all the time. I couldn't be more pleased. It's easy to use and it sounds super-big time!
-Max R.

An excellent tool for generating backing tracks. Saves me hours of MIDI programming. Combines the best of MIDI and live audio samples.
-Steve A.
