Based on your web pages, the Video RealTracks seem to be your hot new feature for 2018. They are certainly interesting and I am sure they required a lot of effort to develop. But I am not clear as to what they are for and how useful they will be.
Perhaps they are useful for learning a generated RealTrack? But when I watched your example video it seems that the hands jump around as clips are spliced together and this seems problematic for using as a learning aid.
I guess these could be used as part of a music video but that seems like something I might do once and then not repeat in any subsequent songs. Plus, the spliced, jerky hand movements would prolly not work in a production video (at least for me).
So I have a few questions...
1) what are these intended to be used for beyond possible learning aids and one-off usage in a music video?
2) what are the plans for these?
3) will you be adding them to all existing RealTracks?
4) will you be adding them to all new RealTracks moving forward?
5) will they always cost extra? frankly I did not see the value so I did not order the additional pak of them.
6) will the RealTracks used in the Video RealTracks be included with the regular RealTracks for those of us who have no interest in the Video RealTracks or will this create a new group where the only way to get those RealTracks is to buy the Video RealTracks?
7) are ALL keys included in the videos? for example, if I set up my song to be in the key of C and later transpose it to ANY OTHER KEY, will a newly rendered video show the musician playing the new tracks in their correct positions on guitar, piano, etc.?
8) are all chords and chord variations that come in the RealTracks also present in the Video RealTracks or are substitutions made for the more "exotic" chords?
As I said I am sure it took a lot of effort to create these and I certainly appreciate the skill it took to make this all work together. I'd just like help in understanding their use and also your plans going forward.
Also, I'd welcome anyone else's thoughts on what these could be used for.

I'm remaining optimistic, but I'm still not sure why or how these came about.
Yes, it would be great to have a statement from PG Music on the intended use, and the overall value to users, and also if they will eventually be covering all existing RealTracks.
The lack of smooth articulation in the presentation makes it quite difficult to anticipate the performers next move. I think this is a critical issue if the performances are expected to be used as a demonstration / learning tool.
It will be useful to see what PGM has to say about the purpose, as I don't recall this ever being in the wishlist.

I too must admit I've been scratching my head over this strange and seemingly rather pointless 'feature'

This video gives a good overview of Video RealTracks, if you haven't watched it yet. http://www.pgmusic.com/?vid=-Ge0plRJxZ4will the RealTracks used in the Video RealTracks be included with the regular RealTracks Yes, to be clear there are no RealTracks that are ONLY video. Video RealTracks are extra video files that accompany existing RealTracks, and they aren't required for those RealTracks to work fully by themselves with no video. will you be adding them to all existing RealTracks? - No this is unlikely. are ALL keys included in the videos? - Yes will they always cost extra? frankly I did not see the value so I did not order the additional pak of them. - Currently one VRT set is included in the Free bonus PAK, one set in the 49PAK, and the others are an additional purchase. are all chords and chord variations that come in the RealTracks - Yes the videos show the entire RealTrack.

I've watched the video...expressed my appreciation for the effort...still don't see the usefulness.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
