There is such "presence" in this - both the instrumentation and the vocal (needless to say). The elements all work together to capture the era perfectly. Excellent mix.
And a "fresh" Christmas song by reaching into the past... cool.
The vocal sounds and feel like a classic "perfect one take" - oozing spontaneity...
Sweet!
Merry Christmas, y'all!!! (What accent? That's what I thought!)

I don't think the song is too late in regards to the Holiday season! In fact, I think it's perfect timing! It's crazy to think that Christmas is this weekend. I'm running out of time to get everything done. But back to the song -- I found this a really cute, uplifting song and really enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

This was just so much fun! listen to it a couple of days ago but just now getting around to comment - danged flu bug!
This is just what I needed to cheer me up as I listened again. I love Rock-a-billy - got one or two somewhere in the process. I often think of the days I listened to Carl Perkins, early Elvis and early John cash songs. That deep guitar reverb is such a signature part of the sound.
Janice's vocal's are always among the very best on the site. This is just further proof. Great arrangement and production.
And Merry Christmas to both of you!
Alan Al, thanks for the positive and supportive comments! It was a quick production but I did spend some time trying get that delay/reverb interplay to work on the guitar and the vocal. J&B

J&B, This is a good time Christmas tune and should make the playlist of all Christmas parties. Bud it sounds like you've got the not so distant cousins delay and reverb figured out. The backing forms the perfect framework for Janice's perfectly executed bluesy vocal. Great outro! Merry Christmas to you both, Tom Hey Tom, thanks for the supportive and positive review. We appreciate all the kind remarks and are really happy that you felt the delay/reverb combo worked. And Merry Christmas back to you and yours.

Hello, Janice & Bud
A very fun Christmas tune! It is really good that lots of reverb and delay and a near mono mix aiming for that 50's sound. And it is very tasty that Janice's singing has a little bit blues feel as usual. Loved it! Enjoy "your" Christmas Party. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
Best regards.
