Hi all. Hope every one has had a safe holiday season.
Wrote this one late last year.

All comments welcome. Rob

Counting the moments

I'm counting the moments since we've been apart.
How often Ive laid in the dark.
I miss your lips and the smell of you hair.
Darling I wish you where here.

Bridge

I miss your lips and the smell of you hair.
Darling I wish you where here.

I meant all those words that I whispered to you.
And I hope, that you did, too.

I miss your lips and the smell of you hair.
Darling I wish you where here.

Yes I miss your lips and the smell of you hair.
Darling I wish you where here.

Bridge

I miss your lips and the smell of you hair.
Darling I wish you where here.

Oh how I wish you where here

This is an excellent waltz with a touch of Marty Robbins.

That mandolin was perfect for this song.

Great vocal and lyrics also.

Great job on this one - Two thumbs up.

Great work on this, Rob! A couple others mentioned, and I have to agree - I'm definitely getting some Marty Robbins vibes here, which is definitely a good thing! I love how gentle this sounds. It is easy to sway to, and your vocal performance is absolutely on point.

Thanks so much for sharing smile

Hi Rob,

I have a great respect for anyone who can write a waltz - I've never been able to get
that time signature to work.

This is a great country waltz and whilst I quite agree with everyone who mentioned
Marty Robbins, I also thought I could have heard Jim Reeves singing this.

Lovely backing track and very relaxed vocal delivery, all wrapped up in an excellent mix.

Rob, this IS a gorgeous song and it really suits your voice which was born to sing country.
Good luck as it should be recorded by some mainstream srtists

Lovely song!! Absolutely beautiful vocal (one of your best, and that's saying a lot!), and that mandolin track was born for this song. Really, really nice Rob!! Take care. Greg

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track
