Tom, There`s something so genuine in your lyrics- you could milk the regret here but don`t; love that opening verse! The ringing guitar coming out of the chorus is sweet and the whole production a benchmark for everything done right... not bad for a guy with partial hearing loss!
Robert Robert, thanks for the kind remarks about the lyrics. I spend some time trying to make them sound natural, Tom Hello, Tom
Powerful country tune! The melody of chorus clause is really good. The Pedal Steel you play by yourself is so nice. It's splendid that you can play pedal steel. Super vocal and big drums! Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi

Tom, when you sing we always feel that you are “the” person in the song. That you have lived the story - not that you are just relating it. Janice mentioned the word “conviction.” Yep. This is one of those few tunes that take you on a journey, albeit a vignette, of a person’s life that seems so remarkably real. It’s not the least bit contrived due in large part to your vocal and lyric. And there’s the always present high, very high, production values. And the vocal and instrumental never disappoint. Janice says she will have the melody in her head all day. And that’s a good thing she also said. J&B This song was a composite of my life and a friend of mine who left his girlfriend high and dry in Atlanta and later regretted it. So it's easy to become invested in the lyric. Thanks for all the nice things you said, Tom I definitely really dig what you did with the mandolins! It gave this song a really neat sound, and it has that classic country twang!
Good job. Thanks for sharing. Thank You Ember! Tom

I always love your pedal steel playing! Great hooks all over!
A brilliant song, production and vocal! Thanks Lawrence, Tom "She’s got first hand knowledge bout the way I used to be It’s not her problem it’s my legacy"
"It’s almost like it happened to someone just like me"
Terrific lines. Excellent write throughout.
A typical Tom Adams tight production. Snappy drums. Sweet steel in all the right spots. Nice vocals and harmonies, sitting just right. Nice guitar touches.
Another in a long line of hits.
fj There wasn't a lot of lines in this one so I tried to make them count. Thanks for taking the time to quote a few of them, Tom

Tom, In a word, this is truly... At 7:00 am here on Sunday morning, the sound that was radiating from my speakers was awesome. The opening with the drums made me sit up and pay attention and, for the rest of the song, I just sat there transfixed at the 24-carat-gold quality I was hearing. I cannot recall when you sounded better than this. Each and every element in this arrangement, performance, mix and production sits so very comfortably with all other elements. At the end of this musical journey, I sat there thinking, "I think Tom has just moved into musical guru status!" I'm heading back for another listen now! All the best, Noel

You've written a pretty solid country song... I like the lyric "It was cold and it wasn't cool To act like such crazy fool"... Good job on this one!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
