Tom, There`s something so genuine in your lyrics- you could milk the regret here but don`t; love that opening verse! The ringing guitar coming out of the chorus is sweet and the whole production a benchmark for everything done right... not bad for a guy with partial hearing loss!

Hello, Tom
Powerful country tune! The melody of chorus clause is really good. The Pedal Steel you play by yourself is so nice. It's splendid that you can play pedal steel. Super vocal and big drums! Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Floyd's advice on bigger drums worked! They sound great in the mix. Good song overall too sir! I haven't listen to this yet, but had to stop in to say... Tom is the LAST person needing any advice on how to mix drums. His are ALWAYS mixed at a truly pro level. The best around. Thanks for having my back little bro! Always enjoy listening to your work, great track!
Thanks Dave, Your latest is extraordinary, Tom Tom is the LAST person needing any advice on how to mix drums. His are ALWAYS mixed at a truly pro level. LOL. Just having fun sir. Fun is a good thing!

Tom, when you sing we always feel that you are “the” person in the song. That you have lived the story - not that you are just relating it. Janice mentioned the word “conviction.” Yep. This is one of those few tunes that take you on a journey, albeit a vignette, of a person’s life that seems so remarkably real. It’s not the least bit contrived due in large part to your vocal and lyric. And there’s the always present high, very high, production values. And the vocal and instrumental never disappoint. Janice says she will have the melody in her head all day. And that’s a good thing she also said. J&B

I definitely really dig what you did with the mandolins! It gave this song a really neat sound, and it has that classic country twang!
Good job. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

"She’s got first hand knowledge bout the way I used to be It’s not her problem it’s my legacy"
"It’s almost like it happened to someone just like me"
Terrific lines. Excellent write throughout.
A typical Tom Adams tight production. Snappy drums. Sweet steel in all the right spots. Nice vocals and harmonies, sitting just right. Nice guitar touches.
Another in a long line of hits.

I like this a lot, Tommy! Nicely done. Paul, I'm really glad to see you come by. As I mentioned to you once before I was a big fan of your Uncle Tompall. Thanks for the nice words. Tom another one smack dab over the certer-field fence.
Nice work Tom Herb said it simply, and said it right!! LOVE THIS!!! Your lyrics are so natural. It is so hard to write in an original way with all of the millions of songs that have been written. But, you make it sound effortless Tom. This is another gem!! Take care. Greg Greg, Thanks for the great comments, Tom

Hi Tom,
I always thought that I favoured your blues side best, but this just blew me away.
What do you call this stuff? A country power ballad maybe?
Whatever, I loved the whole thing.
Super backing, perfect pedal steel and your vocals just keep getting better and better.
A classic.
ROG. Thanks ROG! I call this Appalachian Honky-Tonk. Some might say Alternative Country or Americana. Glad you liked it, Tom Tom
Liked everything about this, the composition, the lyric, the vocal and the sound - all incredibly professional. You have a knack of coming up with wonderfully accessible music.
Peter Peter, I appreciate your comments. That is a really nice thing to say, Tom

Another good ole' country song. Heartfelt and earthy. Good job! Donna, Love that description "Earthy". Thanks, Tom Another great song Tom! Every time I listen to your work it makes me realize how much I need to improve my own!! Your lyric in this super along with everything else.... mix, performance and final production! You are a pro! Thanks, Torrey Torrey, Glad you liked it. Big Thanks, Tom Tom, every time I see your name in the user showcase I get excited. I honestly can't find a weak link in anything you do on here. The lyrics, the melody, the phrasing, the overall feel, the production...and you have to be such a damn nice guy too! C'mon man! Be human, just once for us mortals.
I could listen to this song 1000 times and still want to hear it 1000 more. It's because it feels right to me. I love that in a song.
Nice Guy? That all depends on who you ask! Caaron, I appreciate all these wonderful comments, Thank You, Tom

Wow - you nailed this, Tom! It is perfectly catchy, and just a well written song. The mix sounds extremely professional, and I wouldn't bat an eyelash if I heard this on the radio. The mandolin was an excellent attribute. Great work, and thanks so much for sharing Deryk, Thank you for stopping by and commenting, Tom

Very good work on this one Tommy. So melodic, top notch chord progression and the transition to the chorus is great.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
