This may be something that has been posted previously. If so, I apologize. Will BiaB 2017 run on High Sierra OS? My issue is that I use a MacBook Pro for my music and run Logic Pro X as my main OS. With the recent advent of update 10.4 for Logic, which has TONS of new updated features, I wished to update. I use El Capitan as my Mac OS. Didn't want to update further due to issues of 3rd party plugins potentially not working with an update to Sierra (next Mac OS update from El Capitan). I found, in attempting to update Logic, that 10.4 will not update with El Capitan, only with High Sierra OS (since Apple pulled the Sierra OS). I'm currently able to update to High Sierra on my Mac, but am concerned that BiaB may be bricked if I do. I run Biab off the external HD (I initially purchased the Ultrapack Plus version on external drive). I'd be willing to bite the bullet on some 3rd party plugins not compatible with High Sierra, but don't want to lose BiaB. Any suggestions or comments, BiaBers?

Actually, you can still get Sierra here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208202I was in the exact same boat as you, running El Capitan for as long as I could before Logic demanded upgrading. So last night I bit the bullet, upgraded to Sierra, and installed LPX 10.4. Ron

Thanks Ron, I'll check it out. I always want to move incrementally on updates and as long as I can get Logic update 10.4 to work on Sierra (now that I can get it), so much the better. Thanks for your help.

BIAB 2017 runs fine in High Sierra—quite well, in fact.
Check my signature.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
