For a milli-second when the BIAB screen opens down in the right hand corner I get this Orange Block with some message, I say some message because it is so darn fast I can't even do a screenshot to ascertain what it says. After many attempts, I did manage to see where it is some kind of notices about setting (asio?) settings that match? Does this make any sense to anyone, and if it does any instructions as to where I make these setting changes?

I know not much info, but as I said the message is only visible for maybe hundreds of a second and I can read that fast, almost but not that fast.

Thanks for any and all insight.

I have my own info that clears quickly about loading piano sounds.? Anyway, I just pressed the PrtSc key to see it after pasting the clipboard into another program like Word. You should be able to catch your message that way.

Danny,

In BiaB, also try Help > Utilities > Display Log Text File of Yellow/Green messages.

The message may be listed there.

Note that the latest messages will be at the top.

Well a combination of both you guys advice got me to the point I can see the message and it says: Windows Audio Session Error: Input and output sample rates must match. Audio input (recording) will be disabled. The error number is -9997

Does this ring a bell? Now I do not record with BIAB but I would like to get those sample rates in line if they should be that way, ny ideas?

Thanks,

It does. It will go away if you change your BIAB audio driver from WAS back to ASIO or MME.

Or, you can track down all your sound card and DAW settings and make them all 16 bit / 44.1K

Danny, I had the same message. (See my thread. http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=454359#Post454359 ) I switched back from MME to WAP and my WAP settings are working ok now with no message, but I'm not sure what changed. It may just have been restarting the PC. Peculiar. As I said in my thread, all my settings were correct 44.1 etc etc.

Thanks Neil and All,

Well I changed to MME and the error message went away but the track was so out of sync I figured I'd put up with the error message if it is a trade off for the track being in sync.

Thanks you all so very large!

Try ASIO. Also try switching back to WAS. I know, it makes no sense, but some here have reported success.

Yes Matt that is what I did, like I said the error message turns about to be a small price to pay to get things back in-sync. LOL

Thanks again my friends!

If you get this message, you are using WASAPI audio drivers. Go to Audio | Audio Drivers / Settings | [Audio Drivers]. The information in this dialog will show you the Sample Rate for the selected input and output devices. The orange message is saying that these do not match, and that they need to if you want to record audio. The sample rate is set in Windows. The [Windows control panel] button is a shortcut to the Windows audio devices settings.
