Final song (for now) in my bossa's-in-Italy series..this one about the Eternal City.

Bella Citta

Welcome to Rome, now you're in Italy!
Bella citta! Welcome to Italy!
Ciao amore!

You kissed the ground at Fiumicino today;
Vita romana e piu vicino per te!

Campo d'fiori for our primo caffe;
Nella Borghese passegiando the day.

Jump on my vespa and hold me tight
Via Veneto and other sights!

Nel Vaticano la messa ensieme we pray;
La margarita bella then casa di me.

Roma's alive to the flaming heart;
Boca della Verita to start;
Great view! Love's new! Mai di piu!
I wanna make it my home with you.

At Trevi fountain toss a penny or two;
E per la cena, pasta e vino with you!

Walk thru the Forum and Rome of old;
Then Piazza Navona as night unfolds!

Tano,

Very nice. I love the jazzy feel of this one. I also like the mix - has a "live" feel to it.

Hello, Tom

Very nice Bossa Nova as usual.
The chord progression, too!
Italian words are very cool.
The dialogue between solo vocal and back chorus reminds me of Brazilian samba.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hi,
original song and I'm particularly impressed because you sing of Rome.

A question, why Rome? is there any affective reason?

Otherwise a really nice song, whith good jazzy style.

Sergio, Peter..thank you for listening.

Sergio..I will never forget that I once travelled to Rome from the US, and, as we were landing at Fiumicino, the airline was playing a song in which they were singing something about “Bella citta”..so that stuck in my mind. When I was working on this song, before I had the idea of the lyrics, the melody notes made me think of “Bella citta”..so I decided that I should make the song about Rome. And by mixing the lyric word of English with Italian, I found that I immediately gained many more cool rhymes.

Great work on this one, Tano Music smile I love the groove on this one, and also how you flawlessly combined languages here. I nearly missed it for the first half of the song, admittedly because I was mostly listening to the musical aspect. Fantastic chord progressions too.

Really nice job here - thanks for sharing!

Deryk

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
