Greg,
Thanks for going back to find this-glad you liked it.
On the vocals I used a Nectar solo folk preset & breath control, waves vocal rider & theres also a slapback delay on the chorus.

Cool bouncy style. I didn't know this specific style existed and typically listen BEFORE checking that out. The fact that I can listen and wonder if it's real or not says a lot. I would have guessed you were playing it...and was wrong. I actually love that!

Great song. A lot of fun!

Robert,

This is a great production. You do a wonderful job of layering in the instrumentation as the song progresses—just keeps pulling the listener in, and in, and in. Love the “when you’re all will without a testament” line—and that’s not the only terrific line in this chill tune. Great vocal. Enjoyed my listen a lot! Best of luck with this one!

All the best,

Deej

Another very infectious song Robert!

Great lyrics (as usual) and this mix is good.

Love the claps. That made me smile. And the harmonica.

Yep, what Mario said. I always like songs that build in layers, as this one did in the viest verse. Don't hear many songs in the forum featuring the ukulele. Smooth and fun! Also, I like how you played with the reverb on the vocals - cool!

Alan,
Thanks for the revisit and positive review. I`m finding it so much easier to get a better vocal mixing in Reaper; there`s not much difference in the reverb on this, but the delay done on a separate track is fun to play with instead.

Hi Robert,

I'm playing 'catch up' in the forum and discovered that I missed this song of yours.

I love what you've created. Your singing is very engaging and the lyrics are packed with imagery. In my mind, your words unfolded like a kaleidoscope of impressionistic pictures.... very cool.

That ukulele was a great opening and the way that you developed the arrangement was a perfect fit.

I found this very entertaining at 5:30 am on Tuesday!

All the best,
Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
